Llorente?we can only dream. We dont even have money to buy Dempsey. Funds only available if we sell players first(Adam, Spearing, Cole). even we sell them all, its only 1/3 of Llorente fees.

Dempsey over Walcott anyday. Experience, clinical, low wage.

Because we gonna play like this

Dempsey Llorente Suarez
Sterling Allen Gerrard Johnson
Agger Skrtel Coates

Plenty of goals. No more woodwork curse. LOL biggrin.gif

If we are going to play with 3-4-3, its not going to happen in the near future. BR just came in and everyone is starting to get hold of his zonal formation. 3-4-3 require high tactical understanding which you get through many practices.

QUOTE(dillonyong @ Aug 30 2012, 05:33 PM)
Serious? Why we need long range passer when we are going to adopt short passes strategy via tiki taka? And with Caroll gone or on the bench, the long range passing seems odd to me. He's a good option for free kick though. However, I still favor Gerrard and Suarez for free kick.

tiki taka isn't all about the little short passes, sometimes you need to change side to stretch the opponent like Xabi always did. Watch Barca vs Madrid last week, Pedro goal came from mascherano's deep pass.

Allen can fill Lucas role with perfection. Sahin will either play alongside Allen or between Allen and Gerrard.

-------Gerrard-------
----Sahin---Allen----

or

------------Gerrard--
----Sahin-------------
----------Allen-------

he was injured during pre season, plus Xabi is currently doing the deep lying playmaker role. I would like to think he is the understudy of xabi. Thats why he didn't play much.

Xabi only have 1 year remaining on his current contract, should he decided not to renew, Sahin will play his current role. Then, maybe just maybe Xabi would like to come back home.

its a squad game. If we are talking about strongest 11, then Suarez is a starter. The other 2 may depend on the opponent, how's BR trying to attack them tactically. or a drop of form could open up place for someone else. I think Walcott wont be joining us this window, Dempsey is more likely.

we are likely to have these as forward positions : Suarez, Borini, Assaidi, Sterling, Dempsey, Downing.

*Downing may play more as LB based on BR press conference.

Both of them wont play confirmed by official site.

Two players who will not be involved are new signings Nuri Sahin and Oussama Assaidi, both of whom are ineligible until the group stages.

to people who said FSG funded our transfer, hell no. Even if they were, its not 100m! we got money from player sales, last year it was torres, babel, meireles. This year, its not theirs probably from sponsors - warrior, standard chartered etc. wake up people, they're typical american.

wasn't it Tom Werner who said that we have enough resource to compete with any team in the transfer market. wasn't it him who said we dont need to sell players for fund?

and we cant even pay another 2m for Dempsey??

how about the stadium issue?been quiet for a while now. They kept saying that they need to consider everything before making any decisions. How long will that take? Its almost 2 years now isn't it?

we never had any interest in sturridge untill the last day.

we made bids for Dempsey but its not what Fulham wanted. Villa had a 7m deal agreed but Dempsey rejected it because he wanted to go to LFC.

Spurs only shown interest in the latter stage, about 3-5 hours before the window closed.

look, BR even said it himself "No doubt we need to add goals to the team. Getting recognised goalscorers to come in is the number one objective." He was promised one thing when we loaned out Carroll but now didn't get it.

If we play well like we did last year apart from the finishing, we can come out on top.

They beat us last year with 2 assisst from Song, finished by RVP. both players have now moved to scumster utd and Barca.
