New season but same old problem, poor goal conversion rate.

Hope 2nd half will improve

I just don't understand how come we find it so hard to put the ball into the goal.

We still have 2 week before transfer window close and hope that BR will be able to get the player that he wanted and fix this problem.

I thought Suarez and Allen played very well today. Gerrard and Downing had disappointing performances and Borini was very withdrawn. Downing should not play on the right if he's not going to cut in and shoot, he doesn't seem to have the confidence to do that. So Rodgers should either get him to start doing that or play him on the left.
Very poor defensive show from us today though

Suarez did well in creating chance but failed miserably converting chance to goal.

I think the reason why we lost is because
1) Suarez failed to convert chances to goal
2) stunning goal from west brom before 2nd half
3) Gerard give away possession cheaply which lead to agger red
4) the team start to fall apart after losing agger

we still can buy sahin if he is good at the end of the season. there is no clause that we cannot buy him right?
*
There is no clause but i don't think Real Madrid wanted to sell him. Real Madrid reject Arsenal loan offer because Arsenal wanted to include a permanent transfer clause in the loan deal. Furthermore, Alonso had stated that he did not want to renew his contract and i believe Real Madrid see Sahin as Alonso replacement and will not want to sell him.

The player did very well pressing the opponent and controlling the possession. Hope we can keep in the second half

Seriously, the formation is very confusing. If Dempsey comes, how is he fitting in? With so many wingers playing key roles and Borini is also in the starting 11, I am puzzled.

Borini --- Dempsey --- Suarez
Sahin ---- Gerrard ---- Allen
Enrique--Agger--Skrtel--Johnson

Means that we sacrifice Assaidi and Sterling on the bench and pushes Suarez to the right. If Walcott comes, he will be on the bench as well.

If we are seriously targeting top 6 or even top 4 this year, we will need to have a very strong first 11 and strong back up for every position since we will be playing the premier league, europa league, carling cup and fa cup.

Back up player will have their chance in europa league, carling cup and fa cup.

kind of frustrated that liverpool player like henderson, adam and refuse to transfer to other club when they knew that they are not wanted by liverpool and had no future with liverpool. Worst of all, because of them, we are unable to raise the necessary fund to buy new player.

Rumor that Liverpool have made a move to sign Clint Dempsey. Now discussions are ongoing to sign him.

Been following live feeds on twitter and ESPN live for the past few hours and the only one most likely will sign for LFC is Dempsey.

Sturridge, Walcott deals are off. Other rumours include a comeback for Benayoun and Owen (failed because of requested wages). Leandro Damiao loan move doesn't look like its happening too.
*
I think Sturridge deal is still on but it will all depend on whether Chelsea could complete the deal for André Schürrle

There is rumor that Spur is bidding on Dempsey as well. Hope Dempsey will choose us and not Spur

I think BR are making a very stupid mistake for loaning Carroll out without getting a replacement.

Looking at Dempsey saga, reminded me of deadline transfer for Simao. Back then Rafa were trying to sign Simao but the deal did not go through because we were unwilling to pay extra 1-2m
