ok so Spearing out on loan to Bolton, Carroll to West Ham on Loan, Adam to stoke/villa or Fulham in part exchange for Dempsey. been reading that Fulham were willing to accept a lower fee from Spurs and Villa while setting a higher price for us. I suppose the club didnt want to be held for ransom and walked away from the deal. I suppose Fulham were not pleased with us making statements to unsettle the player and look to come in for a late deal on the cheap. had we made an early bid and not got tangled up in this dispute, the deal would've been done as I believe Dempsey would have wanted to come to us given the choice.
