Both of our goals comes from set piece, a real concern indeed. We still fail to score from open play.

Yeah Borini didn't look convincing. Maybe Dempsey

Gutted because we should have won it. Still its not all bad..

Sterling, Allen and Shelvey was impressive. Downing and Adam time is up and they probably know it.

More of the same next week please..
It should be the other way around..

Either side works fine for me.

Anyways, I hope the error tonight taught the lads a lesson. Stop backpassing so much.

...And no more the godlike mode against strong team and heart attack mode against not-so-strong teams.

BR has just came out to defend Skrtel's decision to backpass. There's no problem with passing it back to the keeper when you have someone of Reina's calibre. By playing the ball to the keeper's feet, you have an extra man advantage with the keeper as an outfield player. It also means the ball is on the ground and relieves the pressure off the defenders.

The only lesson to be learn is to look up before you pass it back.
*
I'm saying this not based on tonight's performance. This habit of ours still persists since Kenny's era. But I can see it has reduced since BR took charge.

Man City was not in their strongest. And we still lack open play goals. We shud win against Arsenal tho.
*
I think their squad only lacked Aguero and one of their CBs? We were not in our strongest too mind you. We missed Sahin and Agger too.

They were experimenting with new 3-4-3 line up

And we just got a new manager, new formation, new play style and new players.

Seriously I am kinda impressed with Shelvey performance, skinny head Gerrard in the making..!

Btw, why is Suarez performance is so different when he is in national team...yesterday match can see that Suarez missed some chances and refuse to pass when other player is available...
*
That's just how he is sometimes. And mind you, in the national team, he has Cavani on his side. Get Champions League this season and get Cavani laugh.gif

..no pics yet of Sahin in training?

if you been watching, you can tell lucas is trying hard to change his game to be more attacking minded to suit BR's style...but somehow doesnt look right tongue.gif
then again, as BR says, lucas is quite prolific from 7 yards out with no goalkeeper...so maybe he'll keep no.21 as a cup player?

and with BR's golden boy Allen around, and now Sahin about to make his debut...and of cos gerrard still around...looks like there'll be no space for no.21 in the first 11.
*
Sahin is only here for a season mate. Don't get your hopes up.

Dempsey got trolled hard by Pool. First we prematurely list him as one of our own on the website and the news now that we only offered 3m for him. Class, pure class

Anyways, quite disappointed by the loan of Carroll and no one to replace him. We're still lacking in front of the goal. I guess BR wants the midfielders to score like Barca and Swansea?

And seriously complaining about FSG? They cleared our debt, invested heavily during KK's era and brought new sponsors to the club. TBH, we're lucky we're able to spend some money this summer after last season's performance.

Wasn't just him. We also pulled the plug on Barry and Simao. I'm sure there were few others.

Really sad bench we have. If one or two got injured before January, we're in trouble.

Allen is masterclass man. Dominated the game most of the time but can't score. Borini can't cross to save his life. We can see how the team perform if Suarez and Gerrard are not in form.

Worst of all, no extra strikers. Really stupid decision by loaning Carroll. We're still crossing a lot....

Time to bring Owen!!

Even the commentators kept praising how good he was. "Error-free" man they said. Maybe we've found our new Alonso

What are the options we have till January?
How are we gonna score goals?
*
The million dollar question every Liverpool fan is asking now. I bet BR is pissed right now. The only liable option we have is Owen. Traitor or not, he was and is still one of the legendary strikers we had in the 90s. It's that or promote the likes of Morgan and Suso.

I don't see "Swansea" football style which introduce by BR in current team. Mean, our player doesn't follow what our manager instruct?

Very hard become Liverpool supporter nowadays.Better do harder next week. I always have faith with you guys.  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif

BR was with Swansea for 2 years. We all noticed. The players still like getting high crosses into the 6 yards area when no target man is apparent. They still need time. Probably...
