I just received my estatement for this month and the TBP gained is not parallel to my spending. This is my first statement since I activated my visa infinite on 2nd August 2023.

According to my spending record:
bigpay top up (ewallet top up) = 1000 x 8
bigpay top up (ewallet top up) = 1000 x 8
lazada 1st purchase (ecommerce) = 2000 x 8
AND I save my card details in the lazada after this purchase
lazada 2nd purchase (ecommerce) = 2000 x 8 [but i believe system only register 2000 x 1]
lazada 3rd purchase (ecommerce) = 1000 x 8 [but again, system register 1000 x 1]
lazada 4th purchase (ecommerce) = 1000 x 8 [another 1000 x 1]
TNG ewallet top up (ewallet top up, capped at 3k) = 1000 x8

so I get 8000+8000+8000x2+1000x4+8000 = 44,000 TBP instead of 72,000 TBP.

is this how they calculate TBP on lazada's pin purchase (on a saved card)? or there TBP gained is not fully reflected during the statement date? I emailed and called CS but they said they need time to process these numbers.

I see. I guess we can never track that from our parts.

and this is nothing to do with "make purchase at lazada using saved card" right?

I should key in my card everytime I make the purchase or just one shot 8k pin in the first week of the month to ensure that my points are listed perfectly in my statement next month.

Applied the Alliance Virtual credit card yesterday and received and activated by this morning.

Top up Ewallet and couldn't find my main credit card number to make the payment.

Called the customer service and here are notes to share for those who just applied new virtual card:

(a) credit limit is shared with my VI

(b) you can call the customer service to get your main 16 digits permanent credit card number, OR wait till 12th (statement date of mine) to obtain the credit card number from your e-statement.

(c.) "create card number" - "one-time" is generated for ONE time use, only for merchant usage. you cannot pay your credit card's debt using this "one-time-generated-16digits-credit-card" number via bank transaction.

(d) you can top up RM3k on your ewallet with this virtual card and your VI to enjoy 3000x8 + 3000x8 TBP.

approval of the virtual card is too seamless and quick that I manage to make a purchase using this card before I received SMS of approval.

correct TBP, no need to call CS



incorrect TBP, call CS to follow up

very true. If your last transaction is at least 5 days before statement date, it will be added into the same cycle.

But if your last transaction is 2-3 days before statement date, it will usually not updated in the same cycle and will be added back next month.

the few hundred points probably misplaced as "ewallet top up" instead of "online transaction", aka x1 instead of the promised x8.

call CS to update if you have strong desire to allign your points

a minor mistake in the diagram, it should be rounddown(2701.48*7).

VI = RM3k
VP = another RM3k
virtual = final RM3k

you can have 3x RM3k if you have 3 cards

insurance premium which is paid manually is still entitle 8x. You need to login to your allianceonline and do a livechat to clarify with the CS after you've made your payment as not all merchant are using poscondition 59 (revision from 15 November 2023 onwards]
