It is tier-based. Any spending after 3k will drop to 0.3%.
*
Monthly Spend (RM) Rebate (%)
0 - 1,000 0.50
1,001 - 2,000 1.50
2,001 - 3,000 3.00
> 3,000 0.30

let say my spending rm6000
meaning like this?

Monthly Spend (RM) Rebate (%) CB
0 - 1,000 0.50 5
1,001 - 2,000 1.50 15
2,001 - 3,000 3.00 30
> 3,000 0.30 9

so total CB per month is rm59?
or only 6000 X 0.3% = rm 18??

This card is not for people who spend more than 3k, it's not worth it ... you should stop at 3k ... if you really really spend so much ... then better use 1)SCB 1.5k 2)this allieance 3k 3) I think one OCBC card got unlimited spending no cap at 1% but i not sure you need go check ... but i'm using HLB Essentials ... i think 0.6% for first 5k and after that 1% or something ...
*
I did think about break the bill to few separate card

Scb 1.5k = rm 50
Alliance 3k = rm 50
Any card 1% 1.5k = rm15
Rm1380 per year

But if fortune card is
Rm50 per month = 600
Annual > 68000 = bonus 880
Rm1480 per year

Correct me if I wrong?

honestly alliance bank will not became good cb card.you see the tier of cb% .
they are more in chinese tradional business man.
only for card usage rm3k montlhly are fit this card.
*
At first I see 3% like very good offer.
Mana tau the tier like this. Zzzz
Should encourage spend more then more CB.
Dunno why alliance go terbalik.
Mayb scare of bad debt.
Spend too much but unable payback. Lolx

QUOTE(mamamia @ May 5 2016, 05:08 PM)
Make sure u spend min RM2k per month to get the cashback
*
I see the T&C stated minimum card rebate is rm20. Mean minimum spend must above rm2000 to get cb. N swipe 8k per year for waiver.

*Real Cash Earnings will only be credited upon meeting the minimum threshold of RM20 and capped at a maximum of RM50 calculated on a monthly basis.

max rm50 cb only for hlb fortune card.
*
Cash rebate cap at rm50 only
The best part is the annual spending bonus
>38000 get 280
> 68000 get 880
> 108000 get 1800

Easily get annual spend above 68000.
So basically (600+880)/12= 123per month.
Now have to find some extra swipe to make it 108000 for extra 1k. Haha

Let me show you another scenario with more cards.
2667 (Affin)+600 (PBB QM)+634 (PBB VS)+2500 (SCB JOP)  = RM208 cash back per month = RM2496 cash back per year
RM6000 (Alliance) spending a month = 96000 milleage per year = return ticket to London cost RM7000 or one way business ticket to London cost RM13500.

Now cannot fly.. maybe you can gather the point for 2 years and get the return BUSINESS ticket for free. 2 years gain RM27000 vs RM5000 cash back.. that's still your prefer choice..

hi bro

interested to understand more on this card...
previously more into CB card....

8x point on online shopping transactions and eWallet reload <<< did it include online utilities paid?

how can we know how much enrich point needed for one place to another?
quite newbie in this.....
let say malaysia to sydney? via MAS?

it should included the online utilities paid. need to test it out. if u pay utilities using grabpay that reload using this card.. u will entitle the 8X point.

Sdyney is around 25000 (economy) and 60000 (business) for one way, need to go MAS website to check the exact point.
spend around RM20000 to get 25000 point...
*
thank bro...i think i will explore this more after covid end....
right now prefer CB over enrich first as no confidence on enrich/flight company survival....

my utilities mostly on TNB which are not allowed in ewallet....
if only utilities without TNB, only able around 1k+ monthly....
if include tnb, can reach around 7-8k monthly....

currently using affin duo+pbb cb + amex to utilise utility cb....
only manage to get around rm3000cb per year after around 100k yearly on utilities....
if convert to enrich then can get around 128k enrich mile per year....can go for free family trip...
just realise such a benefit after see some member posting....
much much better for enrich than cb during normal period.....
never cross my mind about this.....haha

if principal VI. then supplementary also VI. if spend RM800, got cashback RM188 lo, if u got supp, another RM88 bonus.
*
Are u sure about this?
Just now I try call alliance bank contact centre.

The staff told me the I can apply for principal o principal+supp
If I apply principal only, I can get rm188 after spending rm800
If I apply principal + supp, I can get rm188 + rm88 for rm800 spending for each of the card. Mean u need to spend rm1600.

That why I feel so confusing.
What the point I apply supp card to get rm88 cashback for rm800 spending when I can ask my wife to apply principal card for rm188 cashback for same usage.

the only good thing to apply principal + supp is the reward point can combine together.....

QUOTE(Sitting Duck @ Jul 5 2023, 12:32 PM)
There's not much information on the Alliance bank website.

When i checked on ringgitplus website, it seems like there's no point or cashback for e-wallet top up.

https://ringgitplus.com/en/credit-card/Alli...Alliance%20Bank

And the tier cash back is confusing as well. If I spend RM3000 on the card, do I get back

1. RM3000 x 5% = RM150 cash back

or

2. RM1000 x 0.05% + RM1000 x 0.5% + RM1000 x 5% =RM 50.55 cash back?

I think it would be #2 cause #1 would be really good cash back for anyone that is spending between RM2000 to RM3000 on Online Shopping, Groceries, Dining, Petrol, Utilities & Other Retail Spends, but needs to keep track of the spending in these categories to avoid going above RM3000 where cashback is reduced to 0.25%

The Monthly capped in each tier is marked as "Uncapped" which also confusing.

user posted image

I'm eyeing on the Visa Infinite Card which gives 8 points for each RM on e-wallet topup capped at RM3000. Pretty good deal. Looking for physical sign-up booth but there's not much booth for Alliance Bank  sad.gif

guess is option2
but total cashback should be rm55.50 right?

Statement date. Usually two days after that.

cashback consider as payment too

oic....statement date for cashback is easier to keep track than calendar month...
tq for sharing....

btw, is the statement date same for alliance cc holder?
