Find out your Basal Metabolic Rate then use the Harris-Benedict Equation to find your calorie maintenance@Total Daily Energy Consumption (TDEE). To gain weight, consume 20% more than your TDEE. Split it into several small meals with a proper carb/protein/fat ratio.

QUOTE(jAck66 @ Aug 19 2012, 02:22 AM) That's just an excuse. I was like that before. Weighing in only at 48kgs before I started lifting weight. No appetite, lazy to eat, not willing to force feed myself. I keep telling people that I eat a lot and I can't put on weight. Actually that mindset is wrong. You're not eating enough. That's why you are not growing. No such shit as unable to put on weight without weight gainers. Just slowly try to add more calories and number of meals a day. Your body will slowly get used to it and you'll have the appetite to eat. |

I ate twice a day last time and freaking full till the next morning. After started going to gym baru terasa lapar but of course, i have to admit that when we used to eat 2 times/3 times a day, its become a habit that hard to get rid of it. You are also right bout mentality. Actually that mindset is wrong. You're not eating enough. That's why you are not growing. No such shit as unable to put on weight without weight gainers. Ya haha. The eating habit sometimes becomes kacau2 also. I stopped going to the gym for 2 weeks cause my back hurts. Appetite still like before. I put on 3kgs I think during 2 weeks because I didn't work out lol. Yeah. Mentality and motivation is very important.

add these foods if you want to gain weight:
1. 1L of whole milk a day (500kcal) 2. 1 cup of almonds (800kcal) 3. 8 tbsps of natural peanut butter (600kcal) 4. 1 bar of dark chocolate (200kcal) that's roughly 2100kcal (off the top of my head) a day and the rest of your meals (i assume at least 3), eat them like you normally would. eat them throughout the day and before bed. |
