Not K5 vs Camry again. Anyway, please read this thread and think what your priority when buying D segment car before making final decision: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(zweimmk @ Aug 16 2012, 11:05 AM) Ok, back on topic. It's tough to recommend anyone buying the new Camry based on the asking prices and the features given. Buy it if you are after: Better resale value Ease of selling the car when its time is up Good after sales service If it's the only car brand that has a service center closest to where you are staying Comfortable and Spacious ride Don't buy it if you are after: Good handling and performance Premium Safety features Convenience & styling features 5 year or more warranty Value for money Latest technological innovation in automotive engineering Mind you, 2.0l camry in reality is a "facelift" camry, as it was still using previous generation camry's engine and the ancient 4 speed auto gearbox, which amuse me as current trend of car manufacturer all go for new 6 speed auto gearbox, dual clutch transmission (aka VW DSG), CVT gearbox. KIA still had a tough competition again Toyota as Toyota had a long well built brand image in Malaysia, making people had the perception of any car that stick with T badge is good car. I Leave first, before some K5 "fans" flood this thread again. This post has been edited by lcy851031: Aug 17 2012, 07:52 PM

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Aug 17 2012, 10:25 PM) the 4AT i agree...even proton advance to CVT already, since japanese toyota already use CVT, why can't the model we drove uses CVT as well or toyota feels they're victorious in 4AT...even proton also scare Toyota had all the technology, they just don't want to put inside the latest camry in Malaysia. 6 speed AT? They put it in 2.5l Camry CVT? They already put inside the latest Corolla Altis. Safety wise: VSC/ESP, previous generation camry already got. Air bags, USA version of Camry had 10 airbags, 2.0l camry got 2, 2.5l camry got 4 only. This post has been edited by lcy851031: Aug 18 2012, 11:17 AM

QUOTE(kenrain @ Aug 18 2012, 05:44 PM) camry definitely beats K5 hands down!!! you can never go wrong with a toyota. Here's why: 1. camry has 2 airbags, which is sufficient. why need 6 airbags with a cheaper price? no no no 2. camry don't have new engine but camry old engine is very very reliable 3. camry have 4 speed and 5 speed. you don't need 6 speed, old and reliable gearbox, maintenance easier4. you pay 160k for low spec camry. you want more, you pay more lah 5. No ESP, allow you drifting when touge. 6. Buy Camry got more faces in Malaysia, Korean car had bad brand image. 7. Toyota got bulletproof brand image, any car with T badge can get good resale valueIm sure many creative supporter can add more to my list This post has been edited by lcy851031: Aug 18 2012, 06:13 PM
