depends on which ssd model u get. some old version/stock is sata II, while mostly new ssd is running under sata III.

not really hard actually. if u got the mola, juz go for it as m4 128gb is at around rm3xx. yes, the storage is low, therefore,i use my ssd as window/program and a few games. the rest music/ document, picture and movie, STEAM will be on slowpoke hdd

faster loading on? dun think steam need to load anything except log-in. and as i put steam together with the its games in another partition, therefore no need to backup its steam files when shit happens/format.

steam games library 500gb, no $$ to locate it on SSD and hardly feel any faster on game loading except these few.
BF 3, GTA 4, GW 2 map loading, SC II map loading. which is non-steam games for me.

not much different for me except some games where it needs to load lots of heavy crap.
eg. in BF 3, even though u load faster than others in map change, u still need to wait for the match to start
but if unrar, video, music, picture editing, conversion. there's where i feel the speed of ssd booming.

Do we still need to enable TRIM in window 8? or any other tweak to be done in win 8 as for win 7.?

in gaming terms. not much improvement in fps. most notably will be loading time decrease

can't find sammy 830 256gb in GS tho...EOL? any other 256gb capacity recommend? around or <Rm600. (so far plextor is on my mind if sammy not available.)

my intel 320 160gb has almost run out of space. not a speed freak that will get high performance ssd as normal 1 already satisfy my hunger

yea, waiting for m500 as well to have wider range of choice.
hope you can test the 256gb and 480gb.
since its 960gb price is so low compare to others, wonder where the 480gb price might be at

SSD nowdays will replace HDD in future . i dun mind lasting 10 yrs.

btw, a good reason to get crucial m500 if u use the edrive in win8.

move it to 8 yrs. i still have 2 x 160gb in my pc right now.
waiting m500 price for 240 and 480gb capacity. 128gb is not enough if install games. (i only install bf 3 n sc II, but both consume more than 50gb already) ==||
