For me, this GC is not too heavy for me but it makes my mid tower casing have no more slot for extra HDD. Plus, the 6-pin power slot’s place is not recommended because for certain casing, those 6-pins cables on top make hard to close the casing side panel.

As expected, The GPU still use GK-104 Kepler. icon_rolleyes.gif

OVERCLOCKING

Now, the great part of any PC hardware. OVERCLOCKING!!!

For overclocking, I try to get the maximum OC potential of this GTX660Ti PE regarding below:
  1. core clock
  2. memory clock
  3. maximum safe overclocking point
Software that will be use in overclocking are:
  1. MSI Afterburner
  2. MSI Kombuster
  3. 3D Mark 11
Core Overclocking is basically getting the maximum core speed of GPU in cost of voltage(Vcore). Here is the result of maximum core overclocking.

Memory Overclocking is just like Core Overclocking. The diferent is getting the maximum memory speed of GPU in cost of voltage(Vmem). Here is the result of maximum memory overclocking.

For maximum safe overclocking, this safe point is been defined and decided based on system and 3D Mark 11 software.

Please be remind that 3D Mark 11 is just for indication of stability; the system is not optimized for 3d mark 11.

Below is the result of maximum overclocking point.

VCORE VS TEMPERATURE TEST

Ambient Temperature: 24°C
Fan Speed: Automatic

This test is to see the highest temperature that this card occurs in corresponding with vcore different.
The temperature of GC is not so hot for me because based on the ambient, it’s normal. By the way, I run this GC and whole system air-cooled only in a room that not have any air-conditioner rather than a desk fan.

Here is the result.

CONCLUSION

Power Edition has unique voltage control where user can control 3 voltages (Vcore, Vmem and Vaux) for better overclocking.

Twin Frozer fan design with dust removal means that the fan spins at opposite direction after boot to reduce dust between heatsink.

Based on the score of 3D Mark 11 score, 598 points is different from safe OC setting and default setting. But as I remark before, this score is based on 3D Mark 11 stability and system is not optimised for 3D Mark 11.

Last but not least;
TQVM

Lacking of test setup details, but overall much details on card performance and overclocking. Would be great to see OC edition side by side test too.
