@ Godek

last i chk kenari oem absorber complete set ~rm240, most woksyop charge ~rm80 to install

other than oem like sachs super touring ~rm300

better performace like IMP/sensatrac ~rm500++

if budget permits id rekemen maddrivers garage heavy duty absorber
they will custom made the absorber based on the coil you use (original/sport/aftermarket)
they are claimed to last forever, ------ rm800 inclusive install

i think im one of the few that still using stock tyre size 155/65r13
yoko a drive aa01 pair w/ minilite 13x4j japan rims

teh combo is teh most lightweight i could find

kenari 13" stock rims (13x4.5j) w/ 155/65/13 total weight is 11kg
kenari 14" stock rims (14x4.5j) w/ 165/55/14 = 13kg
myvi se 14" stock rims (14x5j) w/ 165/55r14 = 14kg

the minilite w/ 155/65/13 combo is 9.5kg!

compared to kenari 14" rims combo i save ~14kg

definitely good for stop/go in city drive/traffic lite go

nearly kill me twice, its wet traction like non existence
dun drive more than 50kmh in raining/wet

-----

if we plan to change kenari transmission frm auto >> manual or vice versa

for rim size yes, but not much

w/ big rims (14/15in) its heavy, need to pedal down hard to move so FC high

w/ small rims (13in) its lighter, has better pickup, but because its quicker it feels more syiok you always pedal down hard too so FC still high hik!

i was looking for some parts @ kedai potong when i noticed a good condition viva spare tyre T105/90D12,,, bargain abit & got it for RM25

i compared the weight between these viva spare slim tyre vs kenari fullsize spare 155/65r13

kenari 155/65r13 weight = 11kg
viva T105/90D12 = 7kg

i can save ~4kg, recommended for anyone looking for weight reduction,

got power? imaginary power got le i think

1-aftermarket (like k&n) open pod filter takes hot air in teh engine, power can be lower than stock closed filter

2-aftermarket replacement filter is pricy too,,,,, ~rm150 ($$), power probably teh same as stock

3-stock paper filters dust the best, made by umw, p2 sc sell it for rm50++ ($$), but the same filter sold at spare part shop for rm12 only, since 1 filter can last up to 40k++ km---imagine how many filter we can buy to equivalent aftermarket filter

1. think twice of changing bigger compressor - it adds more load to kenari engine, make it more underpowered,,,,,,id recommend used denso ori compressor frm kedai potong/chop shop, (~rm80++) cheaper + better than recond set,,,,

200km? 200k km?

its time to change absorber, stock cost ~300 w/ install

i use stock coils +heavy duty servicable abs frm maddriver, supposed can last 10yrs
then i put UR rear antiroll bar 16mm
its the utmost id do/recommend to kenari

quite stable on highway (~130kmh)
can tapao current roadbully car (veos j/ mevi xtrim) on corners

Hi, I've thought of getting an ARB for my kenari as to avoid the rear throw & floaty effect! Will the ARB works? Please enlighten me. Tks smile.gif

ging, need your input

just added some good stuffs ~1/2013 in kenari
1) maddrivers garage heavy duty shocks,
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=376022&hl=

2) ultra racing 16mm rear antiroll bar

both supposed the same for kenari/kelisa,

now im thinking of letting go the car,,,,,,do you think someone might want it? car doesnt move much these days, those things really under utilized

if theres interest, ill take out before letting go car, if not just leave it, but very sayang leh, future owner probly wont appreciate it unless owned by enthusiast,,,,,,,,
