geng wanna ask from sifu2 in here bout my kenari 2004 auto problemo..

as usual.. about vibration..

had change the mounting bush set.. but not original.. bought in mudah rm 300+ the seller said.. its oem daihatsu rubber mounting..

so changed it.. but still.. the vibration is there.. but on the braking i can feel more grip than before..

my problem is.. the gearbox shifting is really nice n smooth and the acceleration is still there.. but.. once i applied the brake til it stop.. it vibrate like hell..

and it will also vibrate when start to move from standstill positon once you step on the fuelpaddle and also when you step down the gas to overtake other cars..

but.. some times on standstill.. it doesnt vibrate at all.. hahaha.. really quiet.. smooth.. and some times i cant even feel the vibration..

haha.. so what's the problem with my car? torque converter?

mounting bush set? i assume you're referring to engine mounting set? there is no so called 'oem daihatsu' brand, i have bad experience with this so called 'oem daihatsu' many years back, replaced a front lower arm, problem came back after a year, then change brand trw, use until today still fine.

back to the topic, why don't you get mechanic to check your engine mounting whether all bolt and nut has been tighten up to requirement?

and torque converter won't cause vibration.

sent the car to the mech odi.. and indeed he blame the fake oem daihatsu eng mounting

http://www.mudah.my/Daihatsu+Engine+Mounti...8486.htm?last=1

bought from this guy.. he claimed this is oem original daihatsu.. thats y i get this part.. so between trw and schmaco with 1 is most recommended..

omg thanks for the detailed reply , haha just wondering ... i dont what year of the kenari you own but mine a being an old one from 2002 theres alot of vibration .. i dont know how to explain this but when idrive nearing the 100-120km/h mark there seems to be alot of vibrating it feels my side mirrors are coming off maybe u know the problem ?
*
mine doing the same. but once reached 130-140kmh.. the side mirror will vibrate.. then the whole body as well.. on the steering just a minor vibrate.. but the rear body it will bouncing.. but i guess this is due to the oem spring n absobers is too soft.. next will be try comfort uncle spring for kenari.. and check all wheels bearing
