I have XP1, using with my 3GS and laptop for portable usage. I aimed for XP1, went Jaben tried XP2, wanted XP2 but no more stock so took the last black XP1 
now using with Hippo Foam. The foam gives a real good seal.I think I still prefer XP2, sometimes the bass just pounds my ears but still enjoy the XP1. Better than my old Sony earbuds plus it has the anti-tangle cable. I already have a pair of fully broken in Grado SR80i if I want more detail
Using lossless or higher bitrate mp3s with both my Beyerdynamic and Grado.
