QUOTE(SpringBiscuit @ Nov 16 2012, 05:20 PM) ahah, all of them are great, depend on which you like the most. I always love bases but not a fan of techno or similars. As far as I understand the bass amount is same for all 3 models. The different is the mid-high part. If you going for bass, XP1 will be my recommendation, if you prefer balance and dynamic, go for XP2 =) So I guess I'll play safe and take the best of both world. QUOTE(noobandroid @ Nov 16 2012, 05:43 PM) err.. your review on xp1 is one of the reason that made me reconsider. I was about to aim for xp1 initially. |

QUOTE(nicholostan @ Nov 17 2012, 01:50 AM) QUOTE(Vincy8925 @ Nov 17 2012, 03:11 AM) XP2 is better for vocals imo. The XP3 is described to have a 'V' shaped sound signature. This means recessed mids and boosted trebles and bass. The XP2 is more fun and dynamic comparing it to the XP3 by all means. You might want to refer to midwestgoh's posts on the 600 hour burn-ed in XP3 of his. QUOTE(SpringBiscuit @ Nov 18 2012, 03:40 PM) alright.. which is which horr. each one opinion contradict to each other ok I like pop and metal songs, I always set my equalizer to V-shape so....XP2 or XP3 **btw what is dynamic sound meaning? I dont get the term. And how these two model translate in EQ graph? |

QUOTE(walabies @ Nov 28 2012, 07:47 PM) Yeah, xp3 finishes fastest. How much XP1 bass amount compare to beats solo/tour? The reason is that in this sub RM200 region, people love to listen to more audiophile music, some has more details to be dug. XP1 is a fun IEM, I can listen for it with the intention of entertaining myself. Does XP1 lose quite noticeable details compared to the other two models? I've been thinking since this XP series emphasize on bass strength, why not go all out with XP1. |

QUOTE(noobandroid @ Dec 3 2012, 05:11 PM) In the midst of planning to buy XP3 What will happen to your XP1? Added on December 3, 2012, 10:59 pmanyone wanna sell their xp2 and xp3 can contact me ya, i buy one of each Anyway I wanted XP2 but whenever I decided to put order, my curiosity always strikes me in last minutes.. wondering how much XP1 able to pound my ear with its bass compared to XP2. I realized Im actually enjoy looking for those long thunder sound and super low humming noises effect whenever i listen to any song. But then again I scare it would give me too much till it put off entire song experience, while XP2 might give it just nice amount of that.. this is quite a decision to make.. and has been dragging for too long already as I dont want regret and end up like you later on lol |

Finally got my XP1 -
![]() Before anything, this is my first audiophile-branded-quite-decent-iem so it's hard to describe the SQ and also kinda unfair to make comparison based on my old trusty and battered Sony MW600 headset and a rarely used ATH-SJ33 headphones (not a fan of on-ear headphones after all btw Out of box: Very nice build quality. I chose silver to give more impression of solid metal-built driver chamber plus with the gooding 'marble' sound when they strike each other. gotta love that. Also the size fit nicely in my ear. Doesn't feel heavy despite the big metal stuff there. Microphonics noise! yes its kinda annoying but acceptable since I'm used to flat cable already. Just minimize movements will do. Owned a knockoff beats tour before so yea..adapted from it. But nothing more annoying than the cracking sound on whenever I tried to re-adjust the buds or pushing deeper inside. Sound: The bass just WOW~. Its everywhere So did a 1 hour++ of pink noise burn-in at 50-60% volume to loosen up abit. Don't want too long scare would damage the driver. Then just continuously play everyday songlist to let it mature normally. After about 10 hours++, the sound more open at much wider spectrum. I can hear more mid and treble. The bass also better as getting more in place, punchy and I can now feel those very subtle low bass note which were unheard before. Its fun noticing here and there, feel like listening to new song. So for more details, while waiting for mid and high to fully surface later on, I just tweak EQ abit to bring it up till then, when reaching hundreds hours of usage I hope it become much better. Overall Im happy with the full range of bass sound and its amount are satisfying to me. Listening to rap metal and bassy songs became more enjoyable. And how funny that I'm now starting to appreciate those ridiculous dubstep and similar stuffs. I guess Im a basshead after all. Glad that I chose XP1. Very good sound quality in very stylish and classy design yet affordable enough to attract newbie like me. ~And this probably marks the point where I might or might not started venturing deeper into audiophile world. |

QUOTE(secondrate @ Dec 10 2012, 08:41 AM) Yay another XP1 owner hurray for XP1 fella Regarding cracking, it always in L bud than the R one. so at first I thought maybe due to my left earcanal shape that caused the early seal of the flange but then now even I swap the bud to R also it happen. Here I think the L one got weaker diaphragm? or has already spoiled.. sound still ok for now but worry of continuous cracking will shorten the life span in long run.. never wanted the imbalance sound |

QUOTE(wildwestgoh @ Dec 10 2012, 05:44 PM) I got this as well for couple of my IEM, probably due to their closed nature and the air pressure from the ear, so you might need to insert slowly and not too deep, try to use the double-flange or else save up and buy the foam type, 5 pairs RM40 from Jaben. 1 pair can probably last you 2~3 months depends. Yeah I did some reading, looks like these particular IEM characteristics are the main cause. Now I tried inserting slowly while open my mouth to give more room to air to compress Tried double flange but didnt like losing the bass intensity and also the insecure feeling of the buds hanging too far worrying it might come off anytime soon. QUOTE(SpringBiscuit @ Dec 10 2012, 06:43 PM) It is caused by the air pressure inside your ears, the reason as human are not balance for left and right side, hence it happens only at one side of your ear. So its safe to assume this is normal case. Sometimes I did feel the balance is off by ~5%-10% more to R. I hope the driver itself is not at fault. While at it I tried few other tip sizes and some of them give more balanced output at certain position means good isolation is another factor here.. Looks like have to consider Hippo Foam after all QUOTE(windboy @ Dec 10 2012, 06:49 PM) Thanks~ Im enjoying it much |

Hi guys,
Its more than a month since XP1 with me. An average of 4 hours of listening per day summed up almost 200 hours usage for now. What I noticed the sound did become flatter(?). The bass is still powerful but the extended rumbling is not that intense anymore, somehow I feel it got shorter span and more focused (is this what we call tighter sound The imbalance thing is on and off, sometimes it does feel like its happen yet its fine another day. Too many possible factors that causing it so I gave up. Not sure what to blame anymore, my ear or the buds. The crackling still happened on L-side bud often even I swapped to R-ear. I guessed maybe something off about the diaphragm in it or the air release hole not good enough, maybe too small or got blocked?. Then again this only happen when wearing time /adjusting the buds, once done no more.. never encounter any crackly "speaker pecah" sound during listening though. Or maybe coz my listening volume level not that high. I noticed it too, the wording paint on the cable looks worn out after awhile. Mine the paint started to crack and some part already chipped off |
