Just wonder is it ok to ask about Shell Internship programme here?

I received an email from Shell yesterday that my application status now for internship is "final assessment".
I'm in "under consideration" now and waiting for placement available that can suitable for my field.

Now I just wonder, usually how long will it take for them to call me back for internship placement?
I had a senior who only got his offer on late October, during the waiting period for Shell, he rejected 4 offers.
And from the interview coordinator, it seem that isn't any project going on that required trainee. I don't think I have the "asset" to reject all the offers and wait for Shell

Btw, I'm applying for 32 weeks industrial internship at Shell.

I also waiting for my call up for SRD

Well what Shell HR representative told us last Sunday in UTP was, shell refinery recruitment freeze for the time being.
SGS, Upstream & Production still hiring

It will be based on
CAR
C = Capacity
A = Achievement
R = Relationship

I would say just be yourself, it isn't a very tough interview session.

SRD would be tougher though.

Just wait, if no call up he will be considered for Gourami Business Challenge filter stage interview (mini-SRD) later on. Whatever the outcome of filter stage interview of Guorami, he will be eligible for SRD in the future.

I was one of them.......waiting for SRD now....

Not really.
I been on waiting list since last December.
I'm going to SRD soon.

Yes, I'm mechanical.
Maybe u are right, I'm going to SRD with one my coursemate.

None my chemical friends (waiting for SRD) get call up yet.

Exception give to those applied in 2008? Ehm......
My mechy friend who going with me, just passed the first stage interview 3 weeks ago.....

Few days ago.
I passed my interview on September 2007.

Been to mini-SRD before. I believe that was similiar to ur warmup session during the briefing day.

Check your application status at Shell website.
Mine show "employment" while the date was August 2007.

If nothing shown, u can just update your resume there and submit the application again.

I believe he is Petronas scholars, in UTP.

Not sure. I not sure who are those scholars who did apply Shell and went for their interview.

Basically you apply to shell through online as if you pass the first stage interview, you will be called up for SRD later.

When will be the SRD for you? Depend on vacancy available.
Some people waited 1 month, some 6 months, some even longer.

N make sure during your technical interview, relate your fyp to the importance of it in the industry.
Emphasize your project objective, how will it help in improving if it being implemented (for the company or to the society etc)

anilin, they may put you marketing/HR. Still get the same pay as engineers, freshie 3.8k
