Thank you.. just give me the heads up on thursday.. from what i see shell is abit lax when comes to the academic record cause if not mistaken 3.5 below still ok.. but the likes of exxon and bp when i applied they said if your on a 3.5-3.6 bracket will be considered.. they look for mostly 3.8 above =( cry.gif

Do we need to bring anything else other than our transcripts and those stuffs or ?

It was ok.. my interviewer was good person.. she explained clearly and she was understanding as I was technical background and she clearly said she was not.. typical questions from your resume that you send..I think everyone is different question as they analyse your resume and cater the question to you based on the resume you sent it..

results will come in around 10 days.. i think around 27 this month will get my answer..

after this got another stage to go more or get job ah?

hi all,

Just received an email from shell stated that 'Thank you for your application in which you express an interest in pursuing a career with Shell. We are pleased to inform you that we would like to invite you to attend an interview. One of our Scheduling Coordinators will contact you in the near future to make the necessary arrangements.'

Basically, how long i have to wait to get the interview date? and may i adjust the date since im going to go offshore for some period.

Thanks

email, after i sent a follow up email to them today,
and my status on shell website now, still remain as "Interview Scheduled"

haha, really depress coz i gave all the work experience i had these 2 years but still fail, of coz what i think about my performance for the first interview is irrelevant to what shell thinks...so, anyway, good luck to u and everyone else who made it smile.gif

Just try your best to answer as many as you can. If you are not sure, pick the one you think most accurate first and move on to the next question.
If there is time left, go back to that question and do your analysis again and change the answer if you think necessary.  biggrin.gif
I had to answer 16 questions in 18mins...and that's how I did mine. (don know how many questions I got it right, LOL)

Don worry, just try to do your best. If not mistaken, there are people who did not finish answering and still made it to initial interview  nod.gif

yeahh.. mine too. able to answer only 7-8 questions only. the rest 'hentam-hentam'. luckily i've been selected to come for the f2f interview smile.gif thanks God.

The interview session was very relaxing and the interviewer was really friendly! A lot of follow-up questions so it's pretty an on-going conversation.
Everything went well (I hope so) except that I was late 45mins due to a massive jam caused by accidents. I stayed at Cheras Hartamas area and I came out earlier around 6.45am but I reached at 8.50am  cry.gif
Really my bad day! Explained to the interviewer already and she said she understands (hopefully she really understand). Proceed at 9am and ended exactly 9.45am. The next time slot was supposed to be 9.30am but had to be postponed 15min later.
Came back around 10.30 - 11am and the same highway (lebuhraya cheras-kajang and lebuhraya timur-barat) STILL jam...butt to butt  ohmy.gif
Guess it's not my luck to get SHELL. If I am to be rejected, I know the main reason behind it already... sad.gif

Anyway, lesson learnt! Prepare to go at least maybe 2 hours earlier!  cool2.gif

Hi simplicity, are you sure that the current format for the f2f interviews excluded Part 3 ( Questions on current issues)?

if yes, it is a relief to me. there will be a lot of things to read ..

if i just switch company while still being in IT, i will not face such trouble, but infact i'm looking for a way to exit IT and get into management, which is really hard

I fully understand this because I am hoping to venture into management field too. sad.gif

Guys, i have a few questions regarding Shell.
1. I have received an email from Shell to pick an interview time slot. Is that 'SRD' which u guys have been talking bout?

2. I'm accounting and finance background student graduating in coming July. Should i do thorough research on exploration of oil and so on or will they be asking questions relating back to my profession, which is accounting/finance/business?

3. How long does the interview normally last and how many sections are there? So far from previous threads i can expect there will be case studies, presentation, interview. But what i'm worried about is group discussion which i might be getting topics out of my profession like engineering.

Thanks!

for your question
1. No, its NOT, SRD come after this , provided u pass this interview

2. No, basically they will ask something based on your past experience. speak from what you DID.

3. those stage u mention could only happen in SRD, which u should be less worry now, the interview session last around an hours. just one session

basically the interview is like a discussion of your past experience, so no one can help except yourself actually. Revise on wat you did in past, could be academic , non-academic related , or Job

Anyway , good luck !!
