Congrats to the Sauber team You've made us Malaysians proud. Kubica...rookie of the year 1st podium for him. At Monza we now know that BMW Sauber has a good speed, at least after reaching certain high gear. Ferrari had a problem getting close to them when reaching certain gear. Good job. Nice work Heidfeld. Very experience driver.
Kubica had a problem with his car.
They do look strong. At least 3rd position this season.
Who knows, they might took advantage on the front runners.

Vettel to replace Kubica at Indy 15 June 2007 QUOTE BMW Sauber's Sebastian Vettel will make his Formula One race debut at this weekend's US Grand Prix after FIA medical staff advised Robert Kubica not to race following his high-speed crash in Canada.
Kubica suffered only concussion and a sprained ankle in the Montreal accident and told Thursday's press conference at Indianapolis that he was feeling 100 percent. However, athough the FIA doctors largely agreed, they felt it unwise for the Polish driver to risk the chance of a second concussion in such a short space of time.
The decision means Vettel gets a race call-up, while fellow German tester Timo Glock becomes BMW Sauber's reserve driver at Indy. Vettel, aged just 19, made several impressive third-driver outings with the team in Friday practice sessions last season and this season is competing in the World Series by Renault.
"Of course, I am looking forward to my first F1 race," he said, "but I wish it had come under different circumstances. It's never nice if a team mate can't drive because he had an accident. For me the Indianapolis Speedway is unknown territory, but I have prepared myself for this situation and tomorrow I have two 90 minute practice sessions. I know the car very well as I have quite a lot of testing miles under my belt."
Kubica is expected to return to the cockpit for the French Grand Prix on July 1, assuming he is given the all clear by medics ahead of the Magny-Cours race.
"Naturally I'm disappointed because I felt absolutely ready to race," he said. "But I respect the decision. It was made because there is too much risk to let me race in this Grand Prix in case I have had another impact so soon after Montreal. I will go home now. I wish Sebastian all the best. It is good for him and I am pretty sure he will do a good job."
BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen added: "We respect the decision of the medical personnel. The team was prepared for this situation. Sebastian will receive all possible support from us and we hope for another good race here." http://www.formula1.com

Particularly Nick at the moment could finish among the top 5 in the WDC. If lucky enough...even 3rd.

Kubica undaunted by horror crash Thursday 21st June 2007 QUOTE Robert Kubica is adamant one of the worst accidents in Formula One history will have no affect on his future career.
Kubica's smash at the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal was measured at 75g, which under normal circumstances would prove fatal, yet the Pole sustained nothing more than light concussion.
That is testament to the strength of the monocoque of a modern-day Formula One car, which is all that remained of his BMW after it finally came to rest.
"I always knew with a single seater and open wheels an accident could happen - and it can always happen again," said Kubica.
"It is the same for every driver, and we are all aware of it, but I feel what happened is more encouraging than worrying thanks to the outcome - that you still can climb out without being hurt.
"The improved safety regulations from the FIA plus the 'safety first' approach of our engineers and designers have made this possible. I would like to say a big personal thank you to all of them.
"If I had been born earlier I would have still wanted to race in Formula One, but most likely would have suffered injuries.
"I feel I am lucky to be racing in modern Formula One, and what happened will not affect me. Definitely not."
Although emerging unscathed, Kubica was denied the chance to race in Sunday's United States Grand Prix on medical grounds.
There were fears that in light of his concussion, another accident could have had serious consequences.
Kubica will be checked again ahead of the French Grand Prix, although he concedes he is "pretty bored with doing nothing."
"I am not used to resting for such a long period - no test, no pr days," added Kubica.
"But of course, I have used the time for my fitness preparation in Italy, and am in constant contact with Josef Leberer, our team's physio.
"I now can't wait to race. But whether I am allowed to or not is down to the decision of the official doctors, who I have to see before the race in Magny-Cours." http://www.planetf1.com

Kubica hopes medical`s a `formality` Friday 22nd June 2007 QUOTE Robert Kubica is hoping that medical examination he will be to undergo at Magny-Cours will be just a "formality."
The BMW driver was prevented from racing at the United States GP after suffering a concussion in his horrific accident in Canada the week before.
However, before getting the all-clear for next weekend's French GP, he will first have to pass another medical test.
"I may not have been given the green light to compete in the USA, but I hope the medical examination at Magny-Cours will be a formality," he said.
"The reason why I wasn't allowed to drive at Indianapolis had nothing to do with how I felt; the problem was the risk involved in suffering a second accident within such a short space of time. That's also why I wasn't allowed to test."
The Polish driver, though, is hoping to make his comeback in France, a track he's "pretty neutral" about.
"It isn't one of my favourite circuits, but at the same time I don't have a problem with it," he said.
"Magny-Cours is a lot more fun in a Formula One car than with the smaller cars I've driven there before in other categories of racing. You can particularly see the potential of the F1 car through the chicanes."
Team boss Mario Theissen is also hoping Kubica gets the go-ahead to race next weekend.
"Like Robert himself, the team is also hoping that he will be back in the car in France," he said. "The race doctors at Magny-Cours will have the final say on that one though." http://www.planetf1.comThis post has been edited by Raikkonen: Jun 24 2007, 08:45 AM

Hope BMW can finish in front of the Renault in each GP. Fisi targeting BMW in France Monday 25th June 2007 QUOTE Giancarlo Fisichella believes it's not only important for Renault to score points in France this weekend but also to beat BMW.
The two teams are locked in a battle for third place in this year's Constructors' Championship, which at present BMW are winning.
After a slow start to the season Renault have just 25 points from seven races, while BMW have bagged 39, which include eight from Nick Heidfeld's Canadian GP podium result.
However, Fisichella is confident that Renault are closing in on their rivals and reckons they can pip the German team to third place in the teams' battle.
Asked what he's expecting from the French event, the Roman said: "Firstly, to score more points, that's a priority.
"After that, we have to race with BMW and try to beat them. They are the team we are fighting in the Championship, and we have to try and out-score them in each race from now on.
"It's not going to be easy, but we know that our car is improving all the time, we are making steps forward, and the motivation is there to do the job. I can't wait to get out on track and start working."
His team-mate Heikki Kovalainen is also expecting an improved performance at Magny-Cours, believing that Renault have taken a significant step forward during recent races and testing.
"I think we made another step with the car last week at Silverstone, so I am looking forward to getting out there on Friday, and seeing how things stack up," the Finn said.
"We got the maximum out of our package in Indy. We have to do the same again this weekend." http://www.planetf1.comThis post has been edited by Raikkonen: Jun 26 2007, 08:13 AM

Kubica passed fit to race Thursday 28th June 2007 QUOTE Robert Kubica has been given the green light to race in Sunday's French Grand Prix at Magny-Cours.
Kubica missed the United States Grand Prix in Indianapolis 11 days ago after a spectacular shunt in Canada a week previously.
His smash in Montreal was measured at 75 times the force of gravity, which under normal circumstances would prove fatal.
Yet the Pole sustained nothing more than light concussion due to the strength and safety of his BMW Sauber monocoque.
However, Kubica was denied the chance to race in Indy on medical grounds as there were fears that in light of his concussion, another accident could have had serious consequences.
But following the latest medical examination at the track situated outside Nevers, the 22-year-old will be back in action from Friday for the day's two practice sessions.
"I am 100% cent fit and now looking forward to the French Grand Prix," confirmed Kubica.
"I am glad I only missed out on the race in Indianapolis.
"Although I wasn't allowed to test (at Silverstone last week), I've used the time to focus intensively on preparing for the next race.
"Now I can't wait to get back into the car."
In Kubica's absence in Indianapolis, 19-year-old Sebastian Vettel became the youngest driver in Formula One history to score a point when he finished eighth. http://www.planet-f1.com

Fisichella: Renault faster than BMW now Thursday, June 28th 2007 QUOTE Giancarlo Fisichella believes his Renault team are now faster than rivals BMW-Sauber as Formula One returns to European soil.
Renault, world champions for the past two years, have endured a difficult start to the year, failing to reach the podium in seven races.
BMW, in contrast, have enjoyed a strong start and lie in third place in the constructors' championship, 14 points ahead of Renault.
But the French squad have made progress since the first races, and Fisichella reckons they are already quicker than the German squad.
The Roman admits, however, that catching McLaren or Ferrari looks out of the question.
"Obviously for this weekend it (the goal) is again to get to the end of the race and to score points," said Fisichella on Thursday ahead of his team's home Grand Prix at Magny-Cours.
"We would like to fight for the podium because it is a very important Grand Prix for us, but I think McLaren and Ferrari are maybe a step forward, maybe two steps forward.
"But I think we are quicker than BMW. Or I hope. And for the rest of the season it is just to make progress as we have so far. I think for Budapest we will have a new front wing which is a good step forward.
"So, we just make progress in each race and get closer to McLaren, Ferrari and BMW." http://www.autosport.comWe'll see this weekend.
