Takumi Sato is a reckless driver.. That for sure... Act as if he is Fujiwara Takumi but end up.. a stupid driver who dunno when to give up places when his car is slow.. Should have penalty him by fining him.. No wonder Bar Honda drop him at the first place.

BMW have solved a mechanical problem which hampered the team's pace through pre-season testing and the opening races of the season.

The Hinwil-based squad have emerged as strong contenders this season and current lie third in the world championship behind only Ferrari and McLaren.

Team principal Mario Theissen told the Swiss newspaper Blick that the hydraulic fault in the F1.07's seamless gearbox has been resolved.

"It is fixed," said the German and revealed that the problem emanated from a materials defect from an external supplier

DuPont de Nemours is extending its partnership with the BMW Sauber F1 Team and will be supporting the team as an Official Supplier with immediate effect.

DuPont became a Promotional Partner of the team in May 2006, since when it has worked in close collaboration with the BMW Sauber F1 Team on research and development.

Apr.25 (GMM) Toyota's team president John Howett has dealt a knockout blow to rumours that Nick Heidfeld could be shaping up to join the Japanese squad next year.

To the German magazine Sport Bild, the Briton said that he considers 29-year-old Heidfeld to belong only to formula one's "upper midfield".

Howett also denied contact with Heidfeld's manager Werner Heinz, and - music to the embattled Ralf Schumacher's ears - insisted that replacing either Schumacher or Jarno Trulli would "not improve" the Toyota lineup.

It is believed that Howett also argued strongly against Toyota signing Heidfeld at the end of 2004, when the Japanese squad moved to tab Schumacher following his five year stint at Williams.

Nick Heidfeld believes that BMW's botched pit-stop cost him a podium finish at the Spanish GP.

The German's race was wrecked when a wheel-nut worked itself loose at his first pit-stop. It was immediately picked up by an observant member of the Toyota crew but Heidfeld had already begun trundling down the pitlane and was then forced to crawl around the entire circuit before returning to the pits. To add insult to injury, another mechanical glitch then caused him to retire on lap 46.

"In the end it was most likely a gearbox problem that stopped me, but unfortunately my race was over much earlier after the problem during my first pit stop," rued Heidfeld.

"For some reason the front right wheel was loose, we have to look at it how this happened. For the first 24 laps until this stop it looked superb for me. I drove a long first stint and my second stint would also have been a long one. On top of this Alonso was not very quick on the harder tyres in his second stint. I believe I had the chance to finish on the podium today."

Jun.10 (GMM) The latest news from Montreal is that Robert Kubica will leave a downtown hospital on Monday -- with no broken bones.

Contrary to earlier reports that said the 22-year-old Pole had broken a leg in his horror 280kph crash in the Canadian grand prix, BMW-Sauber team boss Mario Theissen confirmed that Kubica is actually fully intact. The worst injury is reported to be a sprained ankle.

He told Sport-Informations-Dienst that suspicions of a broken leg were not confirmed after thorough checks at the Sacre-Coeur hospital.

"I am really very relieved," Theissen said, although it must be a possibility that Kubica - who was knocked unconscious in the incident - will be replaced by either test driver Sebastian Vettel or Timo Glock for the upcoming US GP this weekend.

Ferrari's Felipe Massa said: "I am happy that he was not seriously injured -- it is almost a miracle."

Jun.12 (GMM) Robert Kubica, wearing casual clothes are barely sporting even a limp, checked out of a Montreal hospital on Monday and vowed to be fit for Sunday's US grand prix at Indianapolis before driving away in a BMW road car.

A spokesman for his team said: "The doctors here have given him the all-clear to race."

The mandatory 'black box' aboard his destroyed single seater, however, showed a 28g impact at nearly 90 degrees, and Kubica's mild concussion means that Sebastian Vettel or Timo Glock could still be called up to take his place.

And "the peak value (of the impact) would be clearly higher than 28g, given the damage to the chassis", a BMW engineer added.

"In my day, if you had a crash like that, you would be dead, no doubt about it," Niki Lauda, who nearly died in a similar head-on crash back in 1976, said.

22-year-old Kubica must on Thursday complete a 25-minute examination by the FIA's doctors, where his reaction time, co-ordination and mental capacities will be compared with a 'control' test that all drivers undergo each season.

He said in a press huddle outside the Sacre-Coeur hospital: "I'm in quite good shape and I'm hoping (to be) going to Indianapolis if the doctors say it is ok.

"Mario Theissen and other team members came to visit me and also thanks to Jarno Trulli who came as well."

Poland's Kubica said he had not yet decided if he wanted to watch replays of the crash.

"I saw it when I was in the car," he said with a slight smile.
