I hope SP Setia, MPSJ, Wawasan & Bdr Puteri resident associations can quickly come to an amicable solution on the "fly-over" or "tunnel" access to SW asap..
The current U-turn access to SW is dangerous, slow and definitely not elegant at all |

QUOTE(puchongite @ Feb 22 2013, 10:50 AM) Did not track this item from day one. There were complaints from wawasan resident some time back. What's the complaints all about and what is the outcome ? Wawasan residents think that inflow traffic from LDP directly to SW (see red yellow below) would pose danger to vehicles turning from Persiaran Wawasan to LDP, while Bdr Puteri residents think that outflow traffic from SW to LDP (see blue arrow below) would pose danger to vehicles turning from LDP to Persiaran Puteri. And why has it got to do with Bdr Puteri ? The concerned parties have agreed to meet in early March to find a resolution for this long outstanding item. ![]() |

QUOTE(ibbrio @ Feb 24 2013, 12:08 AM) SW is steadily attracting more and more crowd especially during evening and weekends. Now cars need to be in queue before entering car parks, cinema is crowded....But IMHO, SW could achieve a greater height if (1) SPS makes the traffic access easier and (2) gets/opens more outlets I was having an al fresco dinner there yesterday, and during the 1-hour dining, I kept on hearing passers-by praising SW. Here are some of the beautiful words just for sharing: Wow! This place is so nice! Lou-gong/lou-poh, buy one for me... I want to stay here!! Wow! The canal is so romantic! Mom, I want to swim here! Disclaimer: I am not a SW agent! :-) This post has been edited by bizklguy: Feb 24 2013, 11:16 AM |

QUOTE(davkong @ Feb 24 2013, 01:44 PM) Solace block was using ceramic tiles all over, but for Brio and Vio, living dining kitchen using porcelain because the price also increased. On another note, I have written an email to the management requesting to waive the maintenance fee till all the common facilities are up and running. Access card not ready yet, residents card, car sticker all not ready. Yup the finishing is not bad. Btw Pls let us know on the outcome of your "appeal". Likewise, I would update in this Forum once SW has responded to my appeal (sent before CNY). |

QUOTE(davkong @ Feb 24 2013, 09:56 PM) Sure. I hope more owners would write in to appeal. Btw, I have created a FB group for Brio owners, feel free to join and voice up any issues to improve our home. It's an open group at the moment, would appreciate if any owner can volunteer to become the group admin. hello davkong, should we change the group name to "resident@setiawalk" so that other residential blocks can join in?Brio Service Apartment FB Group http://www.facebook.com/groups/brio.setiawalk/?fref=ts brio.setiawalk@groups.facebook.com |

QUOTE(davkong @ Feb 25 2013, 07:14 PM) Hi bizklguy, Solace has one existing FB group, but I think the owners have a separate private group for themselves. I can rename the group but how about the management, will there be separate groups managing each of the towers or will it be managed by the same ppl? At the moment Solace's management is taking care of Brio. Hi David, first of all thank you for adding me to the FB group.IMHO, to get started, we can begin with a single FB group for all SW owners/tenants, thus the "Resident" can either be owner or tenant. And perhaps we can call ourselves the SetiaWalker? Purpose: To use FB as the social media to create, share, and exchange information/ideas about SW, especially relating to "Live & Play" aspect of SW Suggested title: Setiawalker - The social place for SW's owners and residents Why start with one common group: A bigger audience would likely keep SetiaWalker group more chatty, thus encourages more people to share and at the same time learn from others on what is happening around our neighbourhood. Note: Fyi, I hv seen some FB groups became dormant over time due to inactivity, and some even failed to take off. Also, a larger audience/voice sounds more convincing and people tend to be more attentive to us.. When time is right (e.g., a critical mass is reached for certain special interest group), then new group(s) can be branched out but, in the first place, I suggest let's get people to start sharing "freely" without erecting boundary amongst us. Some example of dormant FB groups: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.3...93202357&type=3 http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.3...154177974640068 |

QUOTE(Marine Boy @ Mar 2 2013, 09:02 AM) Well researched & well said. I agreed with your sharing....SETIAWALK has a concept of live, work & play & many developers emulated on that. SP SETIA is from the trendy & modern school of thoughts that done research globally to bring this idea to our shores. By having the facilities within walking distance within 1 roof....one is able to do so much in one- stop location. With the central water features with greens....it took us away from the hustle & bustle of traffic & stress & hence one can unwind & chill to carry on with a meaningful life. Well said! IMHO, SW would attain even higher boom if SP Setia colud improve traffic access quickly, and get another anchor tenant(s) (e.g., grocer) to SW Mall immediately.. Come on SP Setia, you hv a great plan for SW, but pls execute it well! Tx in adv. |

QUOTE(a123 @ Mar 2 2013, 10:24 PM) [attachmentid=3328640] Spotted any Vietnamese stewardess(es) there? I was just there. Viet restaurant seem to be doing so well that even the additional tables on the side walk are fully occupied with a queue waiting to grap the tables. See the photo for yourself. There would be a meeting this coming Tue March5 between SW, MPSJ, Wawasan and Puteri Resident Associations' chairpersons. Let see if they can execute it well. |

QUOTE(davkong @ Mar 4 2013, 06:25 PM) Brio entrance looks nicer on this side, but not so nice as compared to the other two blocks on the other side. No news on access card yet, am just waiting for call to collect. Spoke to Deva of Mgmt Office. She said they card should be ready by next week, but with a good "upside" of getting it this week :-) |
