Any idea if Maxis is expending their Fibre Coverage?
Mutiara Bukit Jalil still does not have MAXIS Fibre coverage but there is already UNIFI coverage. Its been 6 months I have registered for interested, and it seems as if nothing had been done by them. Half a year is more than enough if anyone would like to finish their job This post has been edited by denzel88: Dec 11 2012, 12:15 PM |

QUOTE(mikeeeee @ Dec 11 2012, 02:13 PM) Don't bother waiting for Maxis unless you have no choice, the service is crappy most of the time. Im not sure why there are so many issues since it's backbone system is by Telekom. It should be at the same line as UNIFI. Just visit the maxis forum to see how much unresolved complains there are and most of the issues are not new issues but issues right from the start till date. We as users still need to pay full amount for crappy service for dunno how long more, sigh. For moment my area has UNIFI only, but the problem they have is the price. 10mb for RM199 is costly and this price has been the same for years. The price should have been depreciated long time ago. |

QUOTE(RyoPi @ Jan 24 2013, 11:29 AM) Last week I applied for Maxis Fibre and was told that my address has not coverage, but my neighbor which is just 2 doors away have Unifi... That's really weird right ? No its not weird. You will just need to wait for Maxis Fibre to be available .Your case is almost like mine. My area got UNIFI on September 2012 but there wasn't any Maxis Fibre coverage yet. Recently in January 2013, Maxis Fibre became available. |

Does it mean that theres already a monthly quota?
As i know before it was unlimited monthly. 5.3 Excessive Usage 5.3.1 Each customer’s total usage per month shall NOT exceed the stipulated amount of data volume transmitted (total upload and download usage). This is to ensure that no individual hogs the bandwidth at all times. 5.3.2 Maxis reserves the right to reject the said application or charge for any additional data volume transmitted from what is already allocated. i think it is quite an idea to implement Fair Usage Policy.
It is good for those who doesnt p2p. but It is bad for those who does. well...it hate or love..it depends on which user you are. Anyway i think it is unfair for those who subscribed this service in the past. |

QUOTE(pisanq @ Mar 5 2013, 07:08 PM) i use both vip5 & maxis ftth 10Mbps Partially true for the torrent part. Throttle is part of the fair usage policy. Applies 8pm to 2 am only.vip5 win in term of latency, good for gamer maxis win in term of speed, good for downloader vip5 win on dont do throtling torrent, good for leecher and seeder maxis win in term of price, good for your pocket If we use maths & assume consistent max speed for torenting; Maxis 10MB - 24 hour DL = 60 x60 x24 = 86400 seconds x 10MB = 864000MB per second 8pm to 2am throttle DL = 6 hours = 21600MB X 10MB = 216000MB per second 864000MB - 216000 = 648000MB per second Unifi 5MB 24 hour DL = 86400 seconds x 5MB = 432000MB per second Maxis is still 50% faster than Unifi eith consideration of throttle 8pm to 2am by Maxis. QUOTE(sbsoo111 @ Mar 14 2013, 03:33 PM) better you report your own, my report consist of my private information. you should draft your own complaint. if we always thk to let people move first, all these big company will take all the benefits from us. Support.this is the email address that i got from them. normally all the complaint will be question direct to maxis. it is up to your choice to get a better service or not. aduanskmm@cmc.gov.my We should always complaint to higher authority. Thats why MCMC fined maxis and other companies. |
