yeah.. I agree.. you're never anonymous on forums... and now with the new evidence act Section 114A, the forum owners are going to hand over what information they have on you should "the others" come knocking on their doors..

My connection very good yesterday, 15GB file finish downloaded in 8 hours time. Hope everyday also like that.

BTW who on TM modem and Maxis router 7/24? I am the one and I realized my house electrical bill raised significantly. My home electrical bill every month average usage RM 150 (max 170), after installed Maxis FTTH, my bill became RM 250 immediately.

Hey guys... any idea on how to fix the frequent disconnection problem with the maxis router? yawn.gif
*
i dont think the dc issue is router problem but rather is maxis network issue

and what worry me is the dc issue maybe "known" issue for maxis
probably maxis know exactly where the problem but maxis decide not to fix it as the "cost" to fix is just too big

Internet: Excellent but everyday will face the problem "DNS SERVER UNREACHABLE" - either restart the router entirely; or manually "Disconnect" and "Connect" to solve. Very annoying! Anyone else facing this issue as well?
*
seems this problem is more common among users who using public IP
im also using public IP and will encounter this problem quite frequently
sometimes occur 1-2 times in a day (this normally when i not really in front the PC)
but sometimes occur 3-4 times in 20 minutes

mylaunchpad hijack browser URL issue also seem browser dependent
for me im using firefox and encounter URL being hijacked so frequently

some users who not using some specific browser (i heard chrome) probably has never encounter this before

look the bettom screenshot of my firefox new tab
2 my most frequent visited sites are showing mylaunchpad

all maxis ftth users face high ping issues
to US or to SG are all around 200ms (smooth game play need below 100ms or best below 50ms)

public ip users face more frequent dc problem
maybe maxis has too limited IP range or its IP assign server is doing bad job

some users always face mylaunchpad hijack issue
could be account related or could be browser related
are there any users after complain the issue then their accounts are free from hijacking?

if above 3 issues are resolved then only maxis is same level as tm unifi

today i had 3 rounds of PPP authentication no reply issue, and maxis said this and intermittent dc are open issues at TM without timeframe.

i requested for private ip for time being, looking forward to stable connection.
*
TM customer service like to use "submarine cable" as their shield
Maxis CS just use "TM" as their shield

if was TM issue why public IP users face more frequent dc issue then private IP users?
if was TM issue then what exactly was "the issue"? do try us with some specific technical terms

nothing to do with race... it has to do with the tunjuk pandai attitude... for example, why u place a cache processing for web browsing(causing the web browsing to be slower than streamyx 512kbps)? trying to be genius or hero? that is called super stupid sohai wanting to be hero tahi kuching!

that is the source of all the problems we are facing now! some idiots engineers(whatever race u r i dun care, ang moh or olang i oso fcuk u!) trying to be clever, fcuk up!

"cache processing" ? sound like spying on us
later we will receive blackmail with title "i know what you did yesterday"

SG depend which ISP the servers are located
normally singtel or starhub
but maxis seems only connect with singtel
as a result it need to route via singtel to reach starhub

the bottom are 2 tracrert made this morning
singtel is about 60ms starhub is above 200ms
if not mistaken tm or time can reach both singtel and starhub below 50ms ping

For Maxis FTTH international routing latency test, I normally ping to one of the major Singapore ISP server such as StarHub mail server and check their reply time

Current output of ping test to StarHub mail server via Maxis FTTH infrastructure (@my house):
c:\>ping -n 5 imail.starhub.com

Pinging imail.starhub.com [203.116.254.213] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 203.116.254.213: bytes=32 time=233ms TTL=107

Ping statistics for 203.116.254.213:

Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:

i didnt aware maxis corporate package yield better latency
seem maxis corporate is using tm/time similar routes while we home users are using very bad routes which cross singtel.com before reach starhub

With reference to the issue of poor latency on the Maxis Home Fibre Internet service, we wish to share that we are aware of this and rectification work is currently ongoing. This maintenance work will not affect normal browsing. However, you may experience some slowness in P2P till 1st September 2012.
We hope to get your kind understanding in this matter as we strive to get this matter sorted out for you. We appreciate your kind patience.
Thank you.

too much hope will lead to disappointment
