Hi, I have done a quick search but nothing turned up so I'll just ask here. I am considering to install either Unifi or Maxis Fibre in my condo, Greenview Residence.
Anybody has Maxis Fibre installed there?
Do they install the Fibre optic cable to your unit or do they use the existing telephone line?
If they use the existing telephone line, do they upgrade the existing wire or anything? coz I'm currently doing renovations and I want to have all my cables hidden if possible.
How is your line performance?
Thanks in advance!

QUOTE(ronnie @ Dec 13 2012, 11:12 PM) Speed to 10Mbps usually happens off-peak time. I did a speed test and it was 10mb. Just that these links are slow. Was wondering if I go throttled. But the speed is going back up. Guess it was some network congestion....

QUOTE(ronnie @ Dec 13 2012, 11:45 PM) Throttled speed within peak hours... good work by Maxis to allow other users to have fair share of bandwidth. Cannot be tooo greedy At that same point of time, I tried streaming fullHD youtube clips and I recieved full speed at 10mb. That's hardly fair then. Why should streaming be prioritized over downloading?

QUOTE(ronnie @ Dec 14 2012, 12:05 AM) Youtube.... have lots of content servers in Malaysia thus faster Agreed. I don't think they are really throttling the speed, more like I hit a bottleneck for international connections...
