QUOTE(ronnie @ Sep 7 2012, 01:59 PM) Did you get the Installation Charges waived ? I negotiated for the installation charges, at least manage to get it down to reasonable, but one of the reasons I don't like letting outsiders into my house, they tend to ogle over my collection of stuff inside the house, paranoid me thinks they'll do something later on. We need to see the 3rd octet of the IP address 14.192.xxx.xxx to identify if it's Private or Public Anyway, it's 14.192.210.xxx at the moment. Speedtest is fast, but it seems downloading the latest Ubuntu ISO is pretty dang slow |

Ok, had a little more time to play around with the Thomson, guess I'm still on Private IP(I did request for Public IP before installation), as the IP address on the router's connectivity is 10.106.xxx.xxx and using those "whatsmyip" checkers net me a 14.192.xxx.xxx range instead.
Is my "assumption" correct? |

Hm.. Well, They did give me a report number when I did the request in Sunway's Maxis Centre yesterday, and my line was just installed this morning.

I guess I'm starting to feel the slowness apparently. Downloads never seem to exceed 100KB/s even from large sites like thinkbroadband and Microsoft, even though Speedtest seems OK, but only to local servers.

Was wondering, anyone knows how to check Line Attenuation? Do we need to log into the TM's modem instead of the Maxis' Thomson router?

Was wondering anyone how does the "Line 1" and "Line 2" phone ports on the Thomson work? Seems like both can work individually, meaning when I call out using Line 1, calls can still come in on Line 2(if connected).
Currently I have a pair of DECT connected to the same base on Line 1 and have a normal fixed line phone connected on Line 2. |

QUOTE(amil123 @ Sep 18 2012, 05:18 PM) no if you want to change back to private ip you MUST call them back I'm not sure where u heard about this, but I have NO PROBLEMS switching between public and private IP on my account as I was experiencing some sort of weird connection issues a day ago. It's just a matter of how u set the log-in on your Thomson router.but my public IP no problem at all no DC issue stable |

Does anyone of you guys have problem logging into your account to check data usage? I can't seem to log in since last night, even after resetting the password. Odd as I could log in earlier on before Mylaunchpad changed their interface style.

Tried that, not working. I'm pretty sure of the username, but, I really can't recall if it's a password or PIN, but I suppose it *SHOULD* work if I reset the password and it says "reset successful" but when I keyed in the new password, still doesn't work.
