dota2 now ping is around 120++ ms

last time can get 80++

did they change the routing again..   mad.gif  mad.gif  mad.gif  mad.gif

yes.. i noticed the ping went up 2 days ago... causing lag and stuff... zzzzzzz...
always kena KS without knowing why...
wtf...

just checked the trace route... 103.28.54.1.

when it was around 70 - 80ms.. it was routed to HK server before going SG server...

now it is back to routing to JP server before going SG server again... why is it going back to the problem?

so the problem reappears...

last year Jul 2012.. it was routed to US before going to SG - 220ms...
the sometime in October 2012.. it was routed to JP before going to SG - 120ms...
then sometime in December 2012.. it was routed to HK before going to SG - 70 - 80ms (acceptable)

and now... March 2013... back to JP server before going to SG - 120ms...
server is getting worse...

why can\t they be like unifi and direct to SG server.. with 15ms ping??? why???

Hi!
I am a newbie to Fibre broadband. tongue.gif
I have recently subscribed for Maxis fibre to replace my streamyX.
I should be getting it installed by Maxis this 1-2 weeks.
I wonder if I could buy and use a better gateway modem router (preferably with firewall) instead of using Maxis's own Thompson/Technicolor modem router?
Would appreciate very much if you could suggest & recommend to me which brand & model to go for?
Thanks!
/eddie

i suggest to take unifi... and cancel your Maxis... cool2.gif
if you really a fan of Maxis and die die also need Maxis... just use their router... others may have some incompatibility issues and require some setup that is too technical for basic user like me. wink.gif

dont wait later, pls do complaining now. i'm requesting to do early termination without penalty fees now because maxis can't solve their high latency issue to international routing
*

i wait maxis to resolve high latency issue since subscribe on july 2012, now already march 2013. receive phone call from maxis just now telling me they already put special note for my account so i can terminate early without any penalty charge. yay!  rclxms.gif

you have really complained consistently...
i should try that.... zzzz....

might as well live your your existing problem...
cos if you switch to maxis also lagi problem...

Your Problem = due to Unifi
The Problem with Maxis = due to Maxis... and also due to Unifi...

why you want to give yourself extra problem by joining Maxis?

you try runningmanblogspot and view the video there... laggy....

If Astro alone, I have to pay extra RM20 for HD service (Astro Byond).

But with this package, no need to pay extra RM20 as I usually do.

Another thing, when raining, still got coverage because using IPTV (broadband).
Just my concerns is that is Maxis fibre good? Currently using Unifi and so happy about it..
*
maxis fibre sucks... throttled torrent and ping to some international servers delayed (worse than streamyx, dun even compare with unifi)...
but if you use internet to surf net only.. then ok... grab it since astro is good deal...
other than that... better stick with unifi + astro...

speaking from a 10 month old maxis home fibre user... who is regretting his decision, but stuck in contract for another 14 months.... sweat.gif

when we subscribed to maxis home, we need to change the ip to public ip...

like me, first day using maxis home fibre, my surfing speed is fine, but a real download speed show less than 100kbps..

but then I discovered that we need to change to public ip...and walla..i got 1.2 mbps max download speed and only taking 1-2 hours for 1080p movie  cool2.gif

and it's only RM148 for 10mbps, unlike unifi RM149 for 5mbps .. yes it has the iptv...

but usually people use unifi but still paying extra for astro because the unifi iptv is a joke

will public IP bypass the torrent cap? i doubt so...
