Hyptv for unifi is free for all channel...
When iptv will launch... cry.gif

Why crying for it when it ain't FREE ?
Impossible for Maxis to give complimentary free astro channels to MHF customers.
You probably get a free STB and a dedicated line if you subscribe for Astro IPTV via your existing MHF account.

Dear Sifu,

I need help on Wifi connection.

Home > Home Network > Devices > Unknown-xxxxxxxxxxx
I unchecked "Allow On WLAN" then click apply to temporary disallow the device to connect to Thomson Wifi network. The disallow was successful.
The router was then shutdown automatically by timer control at 1.30am (it was a daily routine)
The next day when I when into the "Home > Home Network > Devices > Unknown-xxxxxxxxxxx" again, I saw the "Allow On WLAN" re-checked (allow) by itself again but the device can't connect to the WLAN.
I unchecked and rechecked then click "apply" several times but the said device still unable to connect to the Thomson Wifi.
The device can detect the Thomson AP but can't sign in with the correct Wifi passkey.

Is there any setting I missed out ? Hard reset will be the last resort.

Got. go for standard installation and save the RM300 for a pair of home plugs (RM160) to extent the line to the intended place.

Maxis router automatic restart recently, called Maxis technical department, she mentioned am I always switch off router? And I said yes, then she asked me cannot switch off the device, and must switching ON 24 hours, if not, the router will always auto restart... Is this theory true?
*
My modem and router is on timer. Auto off at 1.30am and auto on at 6am 24/7. So far no restart problem.

Me too since July, but just happen from yesterday.

Well that's good sign. Now you have a valid excuse to get a router upgrade from maxis. Just got mind replaced weeks ago. rclxms.gif

Can set auto timer?
*
Yes. Use the external timer.

The advantages of having timer to auto off the router and modem when not in use are as follows:

1. Reduce the chance of power surge damage while you are sleeping.
2. Router and modem gets a fresh restart every morning.
3. Limit the time to deter the wifi key hacking software.
4. Save energy, save money.
5. Force discipline to stop surfing and go to sleep. rclxms.gif

To those who are interested to know the power consumption of TM modem and Thomson router.

TM modem 4.4w
Thomson router 8.8w (total 13.2w)
Aztech Dect phone 0.5w (total 13.7w)
Laptop cooler 2.8w (total 16.5w)
Total annual electricity consumption in kw/h: 16.5w x 24hr x 365days / 1000 =144,540
Total TNB bill based on 33.4 sen per unit catergory is: RM48.28
Total TNB bill based on 40 sen per unit catergory is: RM57.82

@duckaton,
I always believe in turning on when it's necessary. Machines are built by Human. Human needs rest, so do Machines.

There's always MTBF for all IT equipments.... so the longer you run it, the quicker it dies.

try wifi channel configuration
*
Thanks, had been doing it since the previous Thomson router but no one fixed wifi channel will stay good and stable for at least 3 days. Have to to keep changing channel and it was very frustrating.
I wonder why I don't even need to change wifi channels for the past 10 years when I was using Streamyx with Linksys wifi router.

If you are using Thomson v3, you need to set ipv6 DNS server on your network card configuration instead of IPv4 DNS server. Refer how to do it on page 1

Works fine just for me
*
Bro, Thanks for the info. I can't access the IPv6 site as well.

I'm using Technic Colour v3 too, I log into Broadband Connection > under link status, IPv4 connected and IPv6 disconnected > eInternet Viewmore > details > ICP/IPv6 Settings, the IPv6 state was disable.

There was no "configure" button to click and I was not able to edit the values under ICP/IPv6 Settings.

How did you do it ?? Thanks
