Is it time to call Maxis Home CS for another Thomson Router ?

hopefully maxis will replace your router quickly when/if it fails

anybody with slow torrents tonight? downloading avengers 1080p was fine this afternoon, but right now it's crawling at 70kbps.. ratio seems good.. bad seeds?

just change my router...unsurprisingly, still dc here n there..hohoho..

I'm desperated.Maxis home fiber also lose to U-mobile 3G( I use my galaxy note tethered to computer to play Dota 2) i got ping around 70-1xx.) while maxis ping 3xx.

Have you complained to them yet?

my replacement of thomson seems to be in excellent state!
no disconnection at all, wireless seems ok (although the coverage of wifi is relatively bad), top speed of 1.0MBps - 1.2MBps for download (trrnt)

I believe all Maxis user are having this issue. Not only me.

It seems to me that the frequent dc might be due to the amount of users around the same area? I was not having any dc/idling since sunday, today in 10 hours i have gotten 2 dc...

Any idea if we can try private ip login again on the router after changing to public ip? mine says authentication fail

anyone got official response for the frequent dc and unresponsive DNS server and gateway?

I am new to maxis FTTH. How come i cannot connect to playstation PSN? Anyone here had encountered this problem?Can someone point me to the right page for help?

you will need to assign a public ip to the device

all maxis ftth users face high ping issues
to US or to SG are all around 200ms (smooth game play need below 100ms or best below 50ms)

public ip users face more frequent dc problem
maybe maxis has too limited IP range or its IP assign server is doing bad job

some users always face mylaunchpad hijack issue
could be account related or could be browser related
are there any users after complain the issue then their accounts are free from hijacking?

if above 3 issues are resolved then only maxis is same level as tm unifi

i hope that 1 September all of this issues will be resolve.. that's my installation date..

basically i feel little disappointed...said come to install on last week but come with only modem without the Huawei Echolife HG8240...

till now not update me regarding this device availability....

same company contractor but come out with different version story...

one saying the Huawei Echolife HG8240 suppose to place it at the installation place.

the other one said the Huawei Echolife HG8240 should return coz of it is testing unit purpose which instructed by the maxis stuff.


From what i heard the stock is unavailable is modem which told by maxis staff.

So what i can do just keep waiting...me subscribe in 25 of july... till now .. more 3 week already.... wtf.... really want to slap them la...

gaming are totally fakap. BT youtube all good.

So far my friends / myself etc happy with the Maxis FTTH especially we are not gamers, only heavy downloader / live football match streaming. Not much to complain with the price we are paying.

According to Maxis forum, they are rectifying the high ping problem now and probably will be solve after 01 September. Lets wait and see.

yea quite true...dl or youtube is fast but cant really use it for gaming.

yea. Not only the high ping, today I got DC 3 times while I was gaming

guys, wat is ur dl speed in mediafire.com or other file hosting websites? im using the maxis home fibre 10mbps bt the maximum dl speed i got frm mediafire is only 200kbps+, average at 150kbps+. called maxis to complain n they asked me to perform speedtest, the result is normal bt the dl speed is nt even up to half of the internet speed i subscribed, n they told me is the dl server problem wthhhhhhh

n these few weeks the internet speed is rather inconsistent, some websites will load vy fast while the others may take forever to load, n the dc issue is frequent. im annoyed by the fact tat i nid to restart my modem/router at least 3 times in a day, yet aft some smooth surfing, the problems came bak.

never had DC issue for the last 6mth use BUT Battlefield Ping Mlaysia server and some SG server ping 200MS+ while some 20-100ms

BUT this few days my Torrent speed not stable
