QUOTE(gengstapo @ Nov 3 2006, 11:51 AM) just finish my 2nd mod here, since i do it at my office, i cant test out the performance. hopefully better than previous stock cooling. it was x850xtpe 256mb 256bit ddr3 pci-e. manufactured by sapphire So bro, haven't tested yet? What's the performance? Better than the stock heatsink? |

i think vc-rf is more suited to be used as a chpset cooler rather than a gpu cooler..
maybe it is suitable to be used as a gpu cooler on a lower end GC which produce less heat.. |

for me
i would put a fan to suck the heat out instead cause my rationality is that pumping air inside does not mean better cooling, the air inside will only get no flow and end up with area of hot air sticking around |

Yesterday, i've been loitering around lowyat plaza waiting for Uglyvamp to start his BBS6, and i go around LYP and stop by at SRI Computers and i saw a Zalman VF900 CU Led...
This is the GPU cooler i'm talking about: ![]() Before this, i thought that that GPU cooler will be much bigger and heavier than it's elder brother VF700 CU... Man, i was amaze by the size and the weight!!! It's much smaller, thinner, and lighter than the VF700 CU!!! But, don't know how does it perform though... Anyone here have compared the performance of a VF700 CU and a VF900 CU? |

according to review that i read on the net, it is said that vf900 outperform vf700 because it have more fin. i just ordered vf900 from moderno for my x800xt PE. will inform you the temp when i got my hand on it.

Yeah thats right, i'm using VF900 now bought from Sri Comp and u know what, the VF700Cu is cheaper than VF700AlCu coz they have put wrong price tag Before this, i thought that that GPU cooler will be much bigger and heavier than it's elder brother VF700 CU... Anyone here have compared the performance of a VF700 CU and a VF900 CU? My GC is 6800GS, stock cooler temp idle 52C/ load 75C, with VF900 the temp is idle 42C/ load 59C only... nice cooler. |
