Something that isn't clear for me from your verbiage. Was your internet banking account already open?

1) If you applied for a Credit Card without opening an internet banking account (it has to be explicitly applied for on a separate form, and does not come by default), then you don't have an internet banking account.

2) To open an internet banking account, I believe it has to be activated at branch via the ATM machine.

The PIN you requested for, is it the CC PIN? Or is it the First Time login pin to your Internet Banking account?

Just to add my 2 cents, up until 6 months ago when I closed most of it, I've had retail internet banking accounts with the following banks:
1) OCBC
2) RHB
3) CIMB
4) MBB
5) UOB
6) HLB
7) PBB
8) AFG
9) SCB

By my experience, the lousiest 3 are:
1) UOB
2) AFG
3) HLB
