Hi Buydirect, why would installing an after market front sensor voids the warranty? If i tap direct from the battery ... hang the sensor on the bumper, and pull a switch direct to the front.
in what way Naza will void the warranty since the user have not tapped any of the wires? in fact even if it is tapped, shldnt they investigate first before voiding the warranty? |

Thanks for the reply BuyDirect. you have been rather ethical in your replies and thumbs up for that.
I find it rather one sided, more like forcing kia owners to install equipments in this case, a safety equipment (front sensor) from Naza Authorized accessory shop (where is it btw?) instead of coming up with a better documentation as to how the warranty is void. Since such enforcement is enforced, i'd say Naza should have a special price for KIA Owners for installation such as this, even for the installation of alarm systems at a special price for their customers, thus getting owners interested to install it at their appointed shops. Most of the time installation of such devices are way more expensive in Naza centers as compared to accessory shops. Or probably i'm wrong in this? |

I wholly agree with you on certain context, BuyDirect
But i believe most if not all, buyers are told when asking their respective SA, if they intend to install additional equipments (safety, security or leisure even tints), first thing spouted from their mouth is ... WARRANTY VOID if anything is installed from non authorized KIA centers or i can recommend you a shop that can do that without voiding the warranty. When asked why is that so, no proper reasons given. But since you have mentioned clearly that Naza will investigate before voiding the warranty, then at least it's good to know instead of like what i've mentioned above. Thanks for the clarification.
