How much is this coating and whats the warranty period?

First they replaced the wiper blades alone but it was a different type. So now they have ordered the original wiper blade and arms as well. Yet to arrive. So for now, im still using the current set of wipers. But they told me they can try and get for me from an existing Optima first and then replace that when my set arrives.

Why u need coating for interior of the car? How long is the warranty?

Well in my opinion, you dont need any quoting for the interior. Nobody actually leaves water on the dashboard anyway and the interior of the car is dark coloured so upkeep is minimal. Havent heard of any dark interiors fading before. I had a light coloured car interior for the past 9 years and it was still in good condition when i sold it. U just need to be a bit careful not to leave any marks anywhere.

Overall i think its too expensive. Ure better off with the Sierra Glow with the same 5 years warranty for only RM700. I too had some reservations about paying so little when other similar products are RM2K+. But after 4 months of usage i can say that im quite satisfied with Sierra Glow. Cleaning is minimal and very easy to wipe off. Many of us here who have used SG are quite satisfied as well. I dont know if it will last 5 years but even if it lasts 2 yrs its still well worth the very low price.

will CKD and increase price soon

Just to clarify, there will be no price reduction, even if it is CKD (if there is such a plan at all, as at this moment, they are just unsubstantiated rumours circulating in the market)

A typical example is KIA Sportage and KIA Sorento. Both models were previously CBU (fully imported) but are now CKD (local assembly) but there is no price reduction. Both models also retained the KIA badge instead of Naza

The only model that had enjoyed lowered tax is NAZA Forte, which was already badged under Naza from Day 1.

Naza has completely changed their policy from the past where car prices had suddenly dropped when they launched the CKD version i.e Kia Carnival to Naza Ria or KIA Carens to Naza Citra. They have realized that price consistency is key to its resale value and would not repeat the same mistake of the past.

Hi all K5 followers

The new K5 spec WILL NOT have the LCD display and built-in GPS. This is from reliable sources. There may be some minor interior changes & enhancement. But can't confirm the actual spec 100% until the car is out at the outlets. The NU engine is confirmed.

The newer version of Sportage with NU engine is already available and comes with MDPS (Motor Driven Power Steering) or Electric Steering instead of the previous one with Hydraulic Steering.

It would be interesting if the new spec for K5 also comes with MDPS! We all just have to wait and see! MDPS has speed sensing feature, which tightens the steering at high speed for safety reasons and loosen it for better maneuverability during low speed or parking etc..

Anyone has the new spec of K5 new CVVL spec? Except engine & light/wiper swap, any thing else?

Hi mate,
I will get my new K5 on next week (wait for road tax). Would like to share about the all new K5 that comes with NU engine Euro 4 version. (That's why the indicator and wiper control have swapped).

I was told by my SA this morning that this NU engine required Ron97 petrol. However, she claimed that it could be set to Ron95 at SC.

Appreciate if you guys could provide some info. Apparently, I am kind of worry whether this setting is a good move. And will it affect the car??
