this is the K5 latest engine model in Malaysia, launched somehwere in Oct last year compare with previous model which called/named as ThetaII engine, both engine are different, on paper, both fuel consumption, horse power and torge have different spec/result too.. furthermore, NU's k5 also have some extra feature compare with previous ThetaII engine, what i can remember is,

1. the signal and wiper knob has change side, NU car's signal is at left handside compare with ThetaII at the rigth hand side,

2. 4 sit-belt warning show in your indicator (thetaII warn on the driver side)

3. 4 full power window (ThetaII only have 2 at infront).. full power window mean with one press, u can open/close window, both rear passenger window
in ThetaII in power window but not fully, which mean u need to press the button to full open/close

4. This is import for me, front passanger seat door have an extra button to lock and unlock all door, this is a very very very very convenient button especially if the driver need to go out the car for wash room or buying something, you passenger doesnt need to CLIMB to the driver door to lock the door and CLIMB back to unlock the door..

Price wise, both are selling at the same price which is RM143,888 (on the road price before discount from your SA and NCD

pardon my 'england' and perhaps this will help smile.gif

Guys, can anyone share the experience driving optima K5 on hill slope, let say Genting Highland? I am interested in this model, but need more feedback from all of you on the real performance.  icon_question.gif

its a 2.0lt car on d segment body, same like akod and camry. For casual driving, this car is good enough. For spirited drive and especially up genting highland, it will go up, decently. I drove up my car K5 with total 4 adults, one baby and full luggage, i dont find difficulties in overtaking, and engine isnt really screaming. Well, im more of a casual driver. If u are into fast n furious, dont think this car will satisfy u.

guys,

want to ask something.. as shown in the LCD in the driver panel.. it say that.. "tire rotation: 64 km".. should i go to SC to do tyre rotation.. or can i just go to other tyre workshop.. i'm afraid if it will avoid warranty

u can do outside, dont think it will void any tyre warranty if there is any

30k from new buy, for a year. Seems like good deal, if not a lemon or previous accident car
