Buddies, get ready for a really disappointing warranty / service experience with your sunroof problems. I've spent 3-4months and going in and out of the SC 4-5 times asking them to rectify my problems, nothing gets done at the end. They will try to grease/glue/tighten whatever they can but these temporary solutions won't resolve your problems completely. My problems reoccurred 3-days after collecting it from the SC.

They had once suggested to replace my windscreen because they can't resolve my jumping wiper problem (off course i stopped them) but really unfortunately, in the process of replacing my rearview mirror, they have accidentally yanked off the plastic peg holding the rearview mirror and shattered my windscreen. And these fellas curi-curi replaced my windscreen without notifying me before hand (and there goes my 3M tinting). Until now they haven't offered me any form of apology or compensation.

So, out of extreme frustration, I made a little video for KIA MOTORS, i'm gonna post it all over KIA's facebook pages and whatever social network sites they have, after my meeting with NAZA KIA this coming Wednesday pertaining my problems. Since Paris Motor Show is coming, i'll take this opportunity to grab a bit of their attention.

to all the K5 owners here, if you've given a chance again to buy a brand new car again (provided with a same budget on your hand), will you choose this car again?

i am about to buy this car, but i am worry this car is not reliable in a long run (not sure) and hoping this car would be a problem-free car (provided i taking good care at it)

Anyone know how do make the USB port as default when everytime the car is starting ?

It always start the radio to AM or FM, so I have to press the MODE to make it reading USB everytime.

My problem however is not the first song or the song stopped last time, it was everytime it start the radio to AM or FM, then I have to press the MODE button to switch it to USB drive. I just want to know is there any method to make the radio start at USB drive ? 

About the original 18" nexen tyres, anyone here do the switching as per the user manual ( which involved to have the spare tyre to be used ) ?
Normally at what kilometers we need to do that ?

Yeah. Cant understand why Naza Kia did not include this in the previous Optima version. Even the 2010 Forte 2.0 has electric steering.

I wanna share this experience of mine which just happened about 6.45am this morning. I was driving from KL to Ipoh at about 150kmph and suddenly my rear tyre blew out. This wasnt a gradual loss of air. It was a total immediate blowout. My tire was torn 90% along the rim. I was in the midst of overtaking a trailer just before Gopeng (2 lanes) when it happened. I thought i was about to slam into the guardrail but luckily in a split second the Stability Control engaged and i was able to manoeuvre to safety. There was really no space for me to do a counter steer due to the close proximity of the trailer so im really lucky the stability control system engaged in time. This is my first experience with the system and i must say it worked perfectly.

But im really concerned about the Nexen tyre. I didnt go over any pothole and there was no debris on the highway. After i stopped i even walked back about 200m to check while waiting for Plus Ronda to come. They even commented that this particular tyre was very hot and they asked me to get it checked.

Optima fuel tank can be filled to 82L

Not really correct bro. You are using the DTE meter and Average readings to gauge the actual remaining fuel in the tank. The DTE meter gauges the remaining fuel based on the average fuel consumption not the actual distance covered.

I dont have a regular station. I drive alot. In the past 8 months of ownership, ive covered about 30,000km so you can imagine how much driving i do.

Ive pumped fuel at numerous Shell stations between KL and Ipoh. My usual stations are at TTDI, just before Damansara tol, Tanjung Malim rest area, Tapah R&R, just off Simpang Pulai exit, along Ipoh - Lumut Highway near Lahat and Ipoh Garden near Wooleys. Total of 7 regular stations. On 3 separate occasions in the past 8 months ive managed to pump between 79-82L and all at different stations. But most of my pumps are between 74-77L with a certain distance to go before requiring a fill up.

In my experience, the fuel warning system is a 3 step process:

Step 1 - DTE goes black meaning less than 50km range remaining
Step 2 - Low fuel light warning comes on with 2 bars left
Step 3 - 2nd bar disappears and last bar starts blinking immediately.

After Step 3, ive managed to push the car another 20km before i needed to fill.

In comparing approx travelling speeds on highway vs the DTE readings:

1) At 110kmph, DTE dropped 50km but actual distance covered 100km
2) At 130kmph, DTE dropped 50km but actual distance covered 65km
3) At 140kmph, DTE drops were the same as the actual distance covered

So no, the fuel tank capacity is surely not 70L or anywhere close to it. Its well above that for sure. 

Did you pump until absolutely full (almost overflowing) or did you stop at the first click?

Yes i guessed as much. You need to continue pumping. The K5 fuel tank is different from other cars. It has a longer 'neck'. From the first click, you can easily pump in another RM20 before its really full. Thats a good 10L more. That's how i got my max 82L. 

Hey guys, I just realized that our K5 door panel has a red color light which is just under the speaker ( the lights above the map/bottle holders ) BUT it doesn't light up each time when I open the door or close it, anyone know is the light supposed to light up or not supposed to ? 

If so, then I think mine is not function, got to send to SC...

I'm much perturbed that I can't fill more than 65Litres into the fuel tank to minimize the number of times I have to visit the petrol station.

How did u managed to do it?
Btw, if all else fails, could you kindly screenshot a copy of your receipt on your 80Litres of petrol so I could actually bring it up to Naza-Kia
and check on my fuel tank capacity.

They could've installed a wrong one on my ride though.

But i noticed 1 thing, during cruising, if the front passenger pull the lever, the lock button (beside the lever) will unlock and lock back itself very quickly automatically....so you cant open the door....
