compare civic fd2 and k5, definitely K5 roof sounds more solid than civic

yeah, i agree....u cant compare brochure spec with actual driving. There are many parameters that still will influence the pick up or top speed. Car weight, gearbox ratio, power delivery of the engine (torq/hp over rpm graph) and few more.

if u want powerful d-segment car, u need to look at over 2.0ltr engine, or turbocharged/supercharged cars. K5 and camry and akod 2.0 alike are meant for normal driving power kinda feel, not those sprint run cars.

some K5 owners experienced it...aloing with sound from rear absorber....some ahve the problems solved at service center SC. Some, like mine, the problems dissappear after awhile..it happens, new bush need time to sit properly

anyhow, if it prolongs well over 1000 km, inform them when u send in for service

high torque at useable rpm bandwidth will give better accelaration.
HP and gear ratio will give top speed. K5 top speed ard 210kmh, almost same as passat.

full tank rm120 of RON95 petrol can get ~650km on 90%city drive. If heavy footed, or always in rush, can drop to 550~580km.

service wise, interval at 10k km, each time with oil and oil filter and gasket ard RM290. A more detailed maintenance cost is at the first page , i think. Been to Glenmarie, Redcube, and kota kemuning service center, both later SCs are willing to hear any complains. Had my allignment done for free even at 6000km at redcube.

go other SC and check...u can claim warranty at any service center, not necessary only the place u bought ur car

im driving white, and had it sierra glowed since march 2012. And yeah, white is hard to maintain. SG makes cleaning easier, but it doesnt help in keeping the car clean. After rain, u will notice the water drip mark expecially behind boot, door handles, mudguards.

But once cleaned, it looks awesome

even t n h has prolems, just matter of probability percentage and rectification approach

many ppl have this perceptive of kroean cars are bad and so, and never consider at all for their purchase...i think it is a loss to that person, not having another option in their consideration, blindly discriminating a whole country car products.

the white smoke maybe from the spilled oil when they pour the new oil in. When the engine starts, the engine hot parts will burn the oil, hence the white smoke

some can, but its best not to disclose the SC name here. I done mine using Total oil, instead of the Petronas

use ur spare. its the exact alloy rim and tyre size as well. not the black steel rim.

K5 alrdy comes with alarm system. Just that it is silent type, like many others.

tail light brake light are all LED. Signal and reverse are bulbs. The one we getting are AUS spec, which comes with rear fog light, ie not continuous line of LED from outside through the bonner portion. However, many ppl have installed the US spec, which are continuous tail light. price ard RM700 inc postage exc installation.

So, its not true. U cant put bulb into tail light unlit brake light portion, and look like the US version.

what i meant by silent, is the arm and disarm mechanism has no sound indication. Those beep once or twice, instead, its light. HOWEVER, the car will have sound alarm trigger whenever there is break-in.

U can try it. Simply lock someone without key inside the car. Make sure the key is away from the car, and after abt 15s, that person in the car manually unlock the door latch and open the door. The alarm sound will trigger

u mean sound when arm n disarm the alarm? Not sure, but i guess it is possible, just tap the light wire to the speaker/horn.
