QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Mar 4 2013, 10:03 AM) Yes but you said ealier that she can open straightaway. Since yours is the NU engine version, the passenger doors can only be opened if you pull the lever TWICE. No, no need to pull the lever twice, just pull it once it will open (for the front passenger), and the manual do informed that child is not recommended to sit infront... (mines Nu Engine, exactly same as my previous forte for this function)

QUOTE(funnybone @ Mar 4 2013, 03:17 PM) This defeats the purpose of central locking....sometimes we want to prevent our front passenger from opening the door, even adults I think so.... but i think must be some reason they designed like that.... Everytime my front passenger need to alight, i no need to push the unlock button, he/she just pull the lever and open the door straight away.... But i noticed 1 thing, during cruising, if the front passenger pull the lever, the lock button (beside the lever) will unlock and lock back itself very quickly automatically....so you cant open the door....

QUOTE(funnybone @ Mar 4 2013, 04:01 PM) Yes. This what I would say logically to be so. Only when the car is stationary then the door can unlock. So you tried it before? But I don't think anyone dares to try this for confirmation yes, i tried before...is like what i said...

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Mar 21 2013, 01:34 PM) What Speed Limit? U mean Cruise Control? FOr Nu Engine type, we have Cruise Control and also new feature = Speed Limiter" when set the speed limit let say on 100km/h, no matter how you press the gas pedal, your top speed is only 100km/h max!

QUOTE(Buydirect @ Mar 21 2013, 04:13 PM) No, this is not how the Speed limiter works. Once you set the speed limit, and if your car exceeds that speed limit, the indicator will blink, followed by a chime to warn you that you are over-speeding. It does not prevent your car from going faster than the speed limit, as this would be very dangerous. Imagine if you are overtaking on a car on a trunk road, and suddenly you have loss of power! Hope this explains. Cheers No, you are wrong. I tot the same like you before, but it is not. I tried my car myself, it doesnt blink, it just wont let you pass the limit you set. 10000% confirm, can check with other Nu owner.

QUOTE(cyngen @ Mar 22 2013, 09:04 AM) What sales man told you is right. It sounds when you exceeds the speed limit. But he didnt tell you the key point. You have to fully press the pedal in order to exceed to speed limit that you set. In owner's manual it mentioned press pedal more that 50% and the car will exceeds the spped limit. But I found that i need to press more that 75% in order to exceed the speed limit that i set. I feel it is quiet useful for me especially in highway. I can overtake car if needed and most of the time car runs at 110kmh. Lets have a try~~~~ Do you know what you are trying to say? you set the speed limiter, and then press the pedal to exceed the speed limit you set? Then what for the speed limiter for??? are you refering to Cruise control in your statement?? Speed limiter is to limit your speed to a certain speed you set, and no matter how, you cant exceed that speed la..... Have you really try the Nu engine K5 like I did on my car???

QUOTE(Buydirect @ Mar 22 2013, 12:11 PM) This point is clearly stated even in the owner's manual, it is not a wrong info or a made-up assumption. As to why your car does not respond as such, when you floored the accelerator is quite a puzzle. Can any other K5 owners attest to this Speed Limiter function and share? ThanksĀ Maybe you can have a test drive and let us know the result?? Thanks! This post has been edited by seongmeng: Mar 22 2013, 12:44 PM

QUOTE(cyngen @ Mar 22 2013, 01:00 PM) Please have a try and you will know it. It has clearly mentioned in the owner's manual. Of course I did it. I remember last few times i really did floored the pedal, but the speed just not beyond the limit (80km/h) i set.... i will try again later today....thanks

QUOTE(funnybone @ Mar 22 2013, 07:38 PM) I tried it just now. I set the speed limit to 80km/h. Then when the gauge reached 80km/h, the speed remains no matter how far i floored the accelerator. The speed limit cannot be overwritten. That's my experiment on my NU engine I told you all, same like what i said..... hope more member to test it out and confirm here....
