Hi guys (sifus & Otai), new guy here just wanna ask some question which is just not really making sense to some of you guys here...

Is there any luck that i can find the original AUX port (Beside handbrake console), & also the original Alarm system equiped with start, stop engine button. Basically a PKE system which is Original from Toyota.

I believe this will be same as pur current alarm system which is cobra. Correct me if i'm wrong.

THank you in advance for sifus here to gimme some guidance.

Hi adlan21, I'm a new member here. Just want to share some of my experience on different kind of sport springs...

I've tried GAB, Tein, HR.

GAB - As per usual as it's characteristic, Hard but did it's job. kinda bouncy with in high speed cruising. Cornering wise, just like other sport spring, nothing much fancy. Matches with OEM absorber. Not a comfy type of springs.

HR - Not really that harsh, softer but you may not feel any diff but it really did a very good job even on high speed cruising. Cornering, better than the other 2. Matches with OEM Abs, balance type of springs i can say.

Tein S-Tech - Very soft and comfy, because of it's design to be progessive springs so difficult to just do it's job well... high speed cruising bouncy sometimes, not always. Cornering, still like a floating boat. Mismatch with the OEM springs. Very comfy type of springs.

Just to share what my thought, Comfy >, Performance <...

Performance >, Comfy <

I would also recommend HWL sport springs, because this company basically a local company while they tuned and design all their abs and springs even monotube based on malaysian road condition.

I'm not an affiliated to HWL company, suggestion just based on what i've experienced.

Yes very costly.... below is my suggest list.

engine oil
Water cooler
Spark plug
water pump belt
Gear box oil

Wrong bro, Gab dunno by which supplier. But I'm sure HWL is from T@p P*rf*ct sungei buloh.

bro, the HR springs that you tested, what model and how much? want to do some research thumbup.gif
*
It's called the H&R sport spring which lowers from 1.5-1.8 inches on average.

I'm always wanted to try their H&R Super sport spring which is 1 grade higher than "sport spring".

The price for the "sport spring" is rm 1080.

Price for Tein: Rm1020

I see, thank you.
Guess we are stuck with the tiny little pedal we have  smile.gif

Agreed. I have a pretty big foot too... I wish I could ditch the electronic throttle system and replace by a classic way of accelerator... which is by cable... responsive yet pedal can be bigger so that I can flat the accelerator...

thanks for the info bro, its very pricey... 2 sets of springs can get 1 new set of monotube coilovers blink.gif

Adjustable suspension would be Good choice. Technology in monotube nowadays can be very comfortable.

Try to get a serviceable high-lo soft/hard type...

Try d&d, gab, HWL (only hi-lo), bc racing, zerone, kw...

Top of my list would be, BC racing, HWL, D&D... other than the listed here would be costing you a bomb.

But still rules of thumb cheap no good, good no cheap...

Actually suspension is tuned or match based on what kinda of driving style are you into...

My style was aggressive when I was driving my myvi 1.5, hard and solid and I thought girls will like it... (joking)
My old ride actually can be consider a track ready setup...

Eventually my wife nag me like dunno what... now change to vios... kinda like family car, but still not satisfy yet, so told my wife about safety for the ride, and upgraded to Tein , although still very soft and obviously I don't really like it... no choice... Later finance minister hold my pay... lol

very true... thanks for the info

anyway, did a fast sweeping corner on kerinchi link towards Mont Kiara this morning...
during that corner, although i have a few bars on my car (and 195/55R15 PS3), can feel severe understeer as if the car's going to overturn but it's still very planted, no screeching sound or anything, just felt like the springs got compressed a lot... maybe its the stock springs being too soft...
*
When I read your comment above, I suspect slot of body roll... this can be cause by soft chasis, suspension not really working, and also alignment setup.

Some people said suspension dI'd a big part in cornering, but I'll said not only suspension, and also a several combination that matches together in ordering to get massive stability.

Like my setting, just for reference: I did change to 17 inch rims with 7.5jj, change to Tein spring and still figuring which abs to change which is shorter than original, toe -0.5 both side, camber front -1.5 +-, camber rear -1 both side.

For cornering wise I can say it's quite stabilize, even an L shape corner exit at highway I goes about 140-150km/h, but goyang abit sure have....

yes cheap and big brand adjustable suspension when purchase but maintenance cost a bomb and limited to setting the ride quality....

we need to see over all price as a package...
*
Agreed dude... servicing can be the price of all new monotube..

chassis wise, should be pretty decent with upper struts and lower arm bars on the front and rear, plus a thin 16mm ARB

suspension wise still new... not yet 50000km yet... just aligned a month ago when i changed tyres... maybe stock springs too soft but then... highway cruising is ok, comfy... not so bumpy compared to my City VTEC... just during slightly harder cornering time i think its compressed a lot doh.gif

maybe can consider trying your camber setup hmm.gif

thanks for your advice bro smile.gif
*
Since you have strut, lower bar, and arb... I think shouldnt be chases, I suspect the suspension too softer already gave way... check whether absorber leaking or not...

My camber setup is for moderate aggressive driving... gentlemen driving style will only cost more tyres...

I've finally found a kaki... already! Yuuhoo! Maybe we can have a karting session when I go back to kl real soon.

Best part is, we have all the ex-autocrosser, ex-racer in the karting session. Exciting I tell you!

Usually we will organize a session once every 2-3 months, depends on when I'll be going back.

Interested?

Handling: adjustable suspension, wider tire bigger rims, racing tie rod end for lowered vios to correct the geometry, alignment tuning, bigger brakes, direct brakes systems... and so on...

Engine: spark plug, filter, fuel hosing, regulator, injector, ecu, exhaust, clutch, flywheel, customize ratio piston, rods, LSD, and a lot more...

In car entertainment: amps, component speakers, woofer, cabling, processor, headunit, soundproozing, and many more.

Depends on your budget and what you want...

16" Good choice. Don't need to compensate more due to heavy rims...

yes planning to change rclxms.gif
was thinking 17 rota but 17 affect the performance, I tried driving my friends Vios with 17" rim..
so perhaps I'll go to 16.. but the price of 16 and 17 is very close, many friends advise me to go for 17 but I want my performance to remain, trying not to affect it too much..
*
To be honest 16 and 17" not much difference. Just the price ofthe tyres and the "compensation" on power is slight different.

Basically, I've compensate the power loss with a Good filter, iridium plug, and spark booster, tested with my friend's BIOS which is in 16" not difference at all.

It's about compensation as I said, but I'm in 17" so cornering wise better than in 16 inches.

well im thinking to start with bigger rims + tyres first for handling and then sound proofing, any recommendations ?  notworthy.gif

I guess you have the choice in mind, soundproofing wise I would recommend STP, don't ask me where to get it, cause I get it in Singapore cost lower. And I diy-ed.
