Any one, where to find an ANTI ROLL BAR for Vios? Please have a look at the pictures below:

From far, can see there's 2 linkage towards the end point of absorber mounting

Here's a closer look of the linkage

And clearly, when 2 P42 is in the same picture, it's pretty obvious the white color is not stock

Much appreciate if you're the owner of that white P42 to supply further info on where to get that thing. Do let me know if you wish to take down the photos. Oh by the way, I'm NOT REFERRING TO below:

For ARB, its mostly U shape which provides additional rigidity to the rear car.

For a normal car, usually there are rear lower bar and rear anti roll bar. Do kindly check with UR reseller on the part u mentioned. ARB comes with 2 point, whereas rear lower bar comes with either 2 or 4 points.

Refer to the complete bar list:
http://maxaudio.com.my/index.php?act=viewCat&catId=831

From the info, im pretty sure ur referring to ARB. There are either 16/19mm size.

Hope this info helps.

Doesn't exist on any of those advertised. The 1 I'm looking for is clearly different than those available in the market. Thanks for the effort anyways. notworthy.gif

is it manufactured by UR or other brand?

why dont you try to check directly with manufacturer?

I have no idea where that bar made of/from. I was driving sober and suddenly that P42 cut infront with a piece of equipment caught my attention. So, I don't know where to check. Thanks for your effort notworthy.gif

Nevermind, just found out UR only advertise it under P42 category, not exist on 07 and latest 2013 model. Next question is, all 3 model of Vios having the same torsion beam? Can I fix it in a dugong? hmm.gif

from the given pic, it is definitely the commonly available rear ARB. i used to installed on both my Kenari and Ford Focus.

the effect is very significant~ thumbup.gif
that is why i'm driving a J now. smile.gif

Then why u wanna increase chassis rigidity by installing the bar?  rclxub.gif
Im refering to the frontal jerk. smile.gif

Rox,

Anti Roll Bar main function is to transfer OUTTER wheel lateral force(if turn right, left wheel is outter wheel), twist the force from going down INTO going UP for the inner wheel(in the same right turn, right suspension to be lifted up). In short, angkat kaki so the right side of the car will be glued ON the road surface. In that case, because of higher lateral force being transferred to the inner wheel, infact the higher cornering speed is applicable, hence lateral G will be INCREASE. I wouldn't want to decrease my G reading after all.

For your information, torsion beam itself is a twist bar. With or without an ANTI ROLL BAR, it will still twist.

Having a well designed anti roll bar, it will REVERSE transfer weight from 1 side to the other, to counter the torsion beam twist.

Do take note, the 2 pictures of product I've posted are totally different. 1 is bolted on the spring mounting place, another 1 is bolted with a linkage at the absorber mounting. I'm just saying, the 1 you said common anti roll bar, which indeed common among all UR fans is NOT what I want. I want the 1 that UR only posted for P42. On the other hand, to correct you an anti roll bar does not increase chassis rigidity. ARB is unsprung(situated below spring), so has nothing to do with chassis works. If you want to increase chassis rigidity, this 1 will because it's bolted between the 2 main chassis frame.

My ultimate question is, whether the 3 models of Vios share the same torsion beam. If yes, I can proceed to get the P42 anti roll bar UR produced, and install it on a dugong. notworthy.gif

Cheers and no hard feelings please.

Thanks for your opinion..Currently i am using 205/45R17..high fuel comsupmtion. I in the midst of changing it back to stock rims size either 14" or 15" reason is because I am going to travel at 60km per day next month onwards. blush.gif

so what you think the Vios 2007 G spec rims? what size of tyre that the rim can fix? 185/60R15 or 195/55R15? rclxub.gif

Go for 14" 175/65R14 Mybi saiz Cibaistone Blitz 1800. FC guding, moderate grip on both wet/dry. Above 36psi the best FC, but sked the car will fly. Usually I rather stick to 32 front 30 rear flex.gif City drive arnd 400km/full tank. Full haiwei cruise constant 90kph arnd 600km/tank. 08 dugong E spek btw flex.gif
