Some people say vios G spec and J spec the under carriage is different. Example the lower arm for G is much more solid than J.
Maybe some who knows can comment.

i'm thinking of downgrading cos the car feels lot lighter and can accelerate better with semi... some more better FC...

my vios is now quite high fuel consumption, full tank of RM70++  only can travel 340-380KM from Shah Alam to Kelana Jaya. however last time can fetch 400KM++ every full tank. Now still under warranty

Please advice

I don't know synthetic better or mineral better, but i can guarantee mineral offers better FC compared synthetic. First got my car use mineral full city 12km/liter. Then main main try synthetic goes back to 11 km/liter. Changed back to mineral goes back to 12 km/liter.

Synthetic also makes the car rev 'slower', as the engine not as lively because synthetic is more 'pekat'. Try put some in your hand u will know. But if you seldom rev above 3k rpm you won't notice, i always hantam my car 5k rpm, so i know, haha. But the torque remains the same, just HP 'feels' lesser.

However, Synthetic oil does make my engine sounds quieter, as in there is more bass sound and less metallic noise. And if you travel frequent North South highway Synthetic can be useful as it offers better heat protection.

Just my observation thus far, my dua puleh sen..haha

Anyone have insurance "Loading" on their Vios? I just bought mine last year, trying to renew the insurance to Etiqa and the quotation comes with a RM300 "loading". I have not been involved in car accidents for the past three years. All insurance companies charges "loading" for Vios 2012?

any1 facing sound like d car skirt kena scratch even at a normal flat road while turning wif d sterring(was trying to make a 90degree turn when d sounds happen)? dis happen to me twice..go down to d car n check nth is touching the ground except tires....

it is higher, i normally pump 210kpa only. what tyre size you having, stock size will feel float when drive fast.

My Vios was changed the rims to 17''.. There is sound when do a big turning ..

mine 2012 vios manual, in city 12.5km/l, if outstation 14km ~16km/l.

petronas also but rpm depends on traffic, city nite time maybe 2~3k, outstation 3~4k.

every try 5~6k when chasing my friend kawasaki 650cc bike. for me 1~2krpm the engine totally underpower, tak tahan at all.

ur car manual o auto wat version, my car if 40litre in city juz 500km ~530km. outstation juz can 600km but normally i didnt pump full cos my credit card weekend 8x points on petronas so pump during weekend.

if nt mistaken if u r a light footer frm beginning, ur car ECU will adapt ur driving behavior, thus u will have better FC, if u always heavy footer, then better power lo.

so that y ppl always say u need to lap ur car once in a while.

juz like u install voltage stablizer, sometimes some car after install cant feel the different frm the 1st fews days.

i've been using fully synthetic oil since on my 4th service@10000km, current mileage is 55000k, some history below
0-1000km - mineral
1001-5000km - mineral
5001-10000km - semi synthetic
10000km after - fully synthetic with a change between 8000-9000km

planning to change back to semi synthetic because i never liked the fully synthetic, it too "heavy" and FC is also higher

so... thinking of 2 things at the moment...
1. change back to semi synthetic (0-w30) on my next service next month, OR
2. change to after market fully synthetic (0-w30) after warranty, mid next year

i've been reading about mix effect on oil change with different viscosity... different people have different believes...  some even say leakage due to this is a myth :?:

any feedback/past experience from Vios drivers here?

i know 0-w30 is ok, but not sure if changing from fully synthetic to semi synthetic is ok

anyone already install voltage stabilizer and earthing cable in vios ? Mind to share the experience.
