currently i think my best mileage able to archive for my little car is around RM 0.11 per KM with result of yesterday today drive from shah alam to bentong to raub back to petaling jaya to shah alam then nite time to genting back to petaling jaya then back to shah alam with 511km of driving and total use of petrol 30 liter all my record was monitor using scangauge and average speed between 80~120kmh (exclude genting speed only between 50~80kmh) few time speed between 140~160kmh....
notice this result during recent few pump, if i control not to speed just follow speed limit i think i able to archive 600km of distance as my current is about 590km. |

QUOTE(robinc2005 @ May 21 2013, 02:37 PM) Hi adlan21, I'm a new member here. Just want to share some of my experience on different kind of sport springs... Wah you got so many info for spring, to my understanding GAB, HWL spring is manufacture by 1 supplier and also other brand.I've tried GAB, Tein, HR. GAB - As per usual as it's characteristic, Hard but did it's job. kinda bouncy with in high speed cruising. Cornering wise, just like other sport spring, nothing much fancy. Matches with OEM absorber. Not a comfy type of springs. HR - Not really that harsh, softer but you may not feel any diff but it really did a very good job even on high speed cruising. Cornering, better than the other 2. Matches with OEM Abs, balance type of springs i can say. Tein S-Tech - Very soft and comfy, because of it's design to be progessive springs so difficult to just do it's job well... high speed cruising bouncy sometimes, not always. Cornering, still like a floating boat. Mismatch with the OEM springs. Very comfy type of springs. Just to share what my thought, Comfy >, Performance <... Performance >, Comfy < I would also recommend HWL sport springs, because this company basically a local company while they tuned and design all their abs and springs even monotube based on malaysian road condition. I'm not an affiliated to HWL company, suggestion just based on what i've experienced. QUOTE(kayap00 @ May 21 2013, 03:17 PM) 160k advance maxcheck reached !!! Yes very costly.... below is my suggest list.going back SC cost me RM 4digit ..... any 1 have good service place intro near damansara? tq engine oil Water cooler Spark plug water pump belt Gear box oil |

QUOTE(robinc2005 @ May 22 2013, 04:50 PM) GAB have 2 supplier their monotube suspension is supply by taiwan if not mistake is BC and for other range is supply by Sg Buloh plant. As for sport spring almost all local brand is supply by 1 maker. |

QUOTE(robinc2005 @ May 22 2013, 05:24 PM) Adjustable suspension would be Good choice. Technology in monotube nowadays can be very comfortable. yes cheap and big brand adjustable suspension when purchase but maintenance cost a bomb and limited to setting the ride quality....Try to get a serviceable high-lo soft/hard type... Try d&d, gab, HWL (only hi-lo), bc racing, zerone, kw... Top of my list would be, BC racing, HWL, D&D... other than the listed here would be costing you a bomb. But still rules of thumb cheap no good, good no cheap... we need to see over all price as a package... |

QUOTE(robinc2005 @ May 23 2013, 06:35 PM) When I read your comment above, I suspect slot of body roll... this can be cause by soft chasis, suspension not really working, and also alignment setup. wah bro another kaki corner Some people said suspension dI'd a big part in cornering, but I'll said not only suspension, and also a several combination that matches together in ordering to get massive stability. Like my setting, just for reference: I did change to 17 inch rims with 7.5jj, change to Tein spring and still figuring which abs to change which is shorter than original, toe -0.5 both side, camber front -1.5 +-, camber rear -1 both side. For cornering wise I can say it's quite stabilize, even an L shape corner exit at highway I goes about 140-150km/h, but goyang abit sure have.... Last time i use to dial my front camber to -1.6 then -2.2 very fun then now back to stock use -1.1 last week i just pull away a city 2013 model.... at 170kmh... smoke him man... QUOTE(robinc2005 @ May 23 2013, 06:45 PM) yes im lucky able to get a attractive package....QUOTE(DaBestOne @ May 23 2013, 07:06 PM) you sure that is the problem?check few shop then see what other advise is? QUOTE(kenji1903 @ May 24 2013, 09:49 AM) chassis wise, should be pretty decent with upper struts and lower arm bars on the front and rear, plus a thin 16mm ARB wah you have install so many bar.... yes city vtec spring is abit harder.... but our car main issue is chassis not still enough as a day to day drive car what we aspect any more right...suspension wise still new... not yet 50000km yet... just aligned a month ago when i changed tyres... maybe stock springs too soft but then... highway cruising is ok, comfy... not so bumpy compared to my City VTEC... just during slightly harder cornering time i think its compressed a lot maybe can consider trying your camber setup thanks for your advice bro |

QUOTE(kenji1903 @ Jun 4 2013, 11:34 AM) but i feel the Toyota fully synthetic oil not that good... should have stick with semi in my 3rd service, lighter acceleration and i don't mind going every 5000km for service... bro really i never feel this in my fully synthetic oil...the fully synthetic makes the car's acceleration sluggish around 6500-7000km... cannot tahan so every time i changed at 9000km |

QUOTE(kenji1903 @ Jun 5 2013, 09:31 AM) both America brand is good but main different is who provide better control in wear & tear more durable from time to time....QUOTE(cleoleeps @ Jun 5 2013, 12:23 PM) So you're suggesting that full sync is a bit downside at acceleration whereas upside is that engine is less noiser? wah bro so fast power drop only at 25k+? mine now at 115k for 2 year old plus car...still manage to clock 210kmh... I just feel that the car like not enough power right now at 25k+... I used Toyota also. IF not mistaken it's Shell. Not nice ke?? |
