bro, vios newbie here.

my fren sat in my car and commented that the rpm needle in my vios kinda fluctuates actively. Since then, i kinda paying more attention to it and notice it kinda stay still ranging in 0.6 - 0.8

izzit normal for the needle to fluctuates abit, o izzit suppose the stay still n not moving at all.

Any1 with similar experiences?

my dealer said TEIN S-TECH no stock so have to wait untill saturday
at the same time i'll change front and rear to new toyota oem shock absorber because of oil leaking
my dealer said not KYB but oem toyota vios...if KYB he can give me cheaper but both are gas..got different between this 2 absorber? can someone comfirm this?
i'll update my car pic before and after change spring

so is it too expensive??

Hi adlan21, I'm a new member here. Just want to share some of my experience on different kind of sport springs...

I've tried GAB, Tein, HR.

GAB - As per usual as it's characteristic, Hard but did it's job. kinda bouncy with in high speed cruising. Cornering wise, just like other sport spring, nothing much fancy. Matches with OEM absorber. Not a comfy type of springs.

HR - Not really that harsh, softer but you may not feel any diff but it really did a very good job even on high speed cruising. Cornering, better than the other 2. Matches with OEM Abs, balance type of springs i can say.

Tein S-Tech - Very soft and comfy, because of it's design to be progessive springs so difficult to just do it's job well... high speed cruising bouncy sometimes, not always. Cornering, still like a floating boat. Mismatch with the OEM springs. Very comfy type of springs.

Just to share what my thought, Comfy >, Performance <...

I would also recommend HWL sport springs, because this company basically a local company while they tuned and design all their abs and springs even monotube based on malaysian road condition.

I'm not an affiliated to HWL company, suggestion just based on what i've experienced.

Wrong bro, Gab dunno by which supplier. But I'm sure HWL is from T@p P*rf*ct sungei buloh.

Adjustable suspension would be Good choice. Technology in monotube nowadays can be very comfortable.

Try to get a serviceable high-lo soft/hard type...

Try d&d, gab, HWL (only hi-lo), bc racing, zerone, kw...

Top of my list would be, BC racing, HWL, D&D... other than the listed here would be costing you a bomb.

But still rules of thumb cheap no good, good no cheap...

When I read your comment above, I suspect slot of body roll... this can be cause by soft chasis, suspension not really working, and also alignment setup.

Some people said suspension dI'd a big part in cornering, but I'll said not only suspension, and also a several combination that matches together in ordering to get massive stability.

Like my setting, just for reference: I did change to 17 inch rims with 7.5jj, change to Tein spring and still figuring which abs to change which is shorter than original, toe -0.5 both side, camber front -1.5 +-, camber rear -1 both side.

For cornering wise I can say it's quite stabilize, even an L shape corner exit at highway I goes about 140-150km/h, but goyang abit sure have....

chassis wise, should be pretty decent with upper struts and lower arm bars on the front and rear, plus a thin 16mm ARB

suspension wise still new... not yet 50000km yet... just aligned a month ago when i changed tyres... maybe stock springs too soft but then... highway cruising is ok, comfy... not so bumpy compared to my City VTEC... just during slightly harder cornering time i think its compressed a lot

maybe can consider trying your camber setup

Best part is, we have all the ex-autocrosser, ex-racer in the karting session. Exciting I tell you!

warranty over adi so i plan to use better aftermarket product...

ani suggestion for brake pads,spark plug,& fully syn oil?
i plan to send to toyota SC for 1 last time using my own product...
after that will service outside adi...

but i feel the Toyota fully synthetic oil not that good... should have stick with semi in my 3rd service, lighter acceleration and i don't mind going every 5000km for service...

the fully synthetic makes the car's acceleration sluggish around 6500-7000km... cannot tahan so every time i changed at 9000km

you buy good good one and put mar... mine's from Toyota... not nice

same price but after market ones should be better... like Amsoil, Torco etc

So you're suggesting that full sync is a bit downside at acceleration whereas upside is that engine is less noiser?

i havent had that kind of experience before , but im using mobil 1.
toyota oil might just be different.
my fren is using the lexus fully synt oil.RM110(lowyat auto garage) dunno ori or fake)
will get his feedback whether ok or not.
