what millage is ur car nw when encouter tis problem?

my car gt same sound like u when less than 1k, now 13k+ also got tis sound but less...

last time due to sound tak tak all the way til i tak tahan, i jus walk in and the mechanic test drive with me, and told me sound is on the door panel, need to open and c what problem.

after when for 10k service, they told me sound is from dashboard, they jus fix the dashboard, the sound had reduce but somehow it do happen but no as noisy as be4.

My car milage is 17k now.it happened at around 5k, I have not send to SC yet but will do so maybe next week. The sound is quite loud at times. Funny tht this sound can appearand no solution.

can, can fit, that's the biggest size our Vios can take and the lowest profile tire.. Car will be very underpowered due to larger surface area of tire contacting the road.. 215/40/17 tire size, or maybe can fit 45 too..
my Vios is using light weight 16" rim, 205/45/16 with custom exhaust by SuperCircuit, I don't feel the difference of power through I do feel the difference when I first changed the rim, pedal and no power, need to pedal fully for the car to respond in changing gear with higher rpm.. If you fon't mind about underpowered, you can go ahead, else modification on increasing torque is a must, turbocharged, custom exhaust, etc

Hi guys , need advise .. there is something inside the front seat belt (T-bar) that is moving and making knocking noises whenever the car accelerate and braking. Does anyone know what could possibly causing this ? Cos I dont know what is inside the T-bar plastic cover .. thanks in advance ...

Do you mean the latest Vios which just launched?
Actually rims and tyre price for 16 and 17 is very close, just add about 200 and you get 17 inch.. But performance wise, 16 is just nice, 17 is good in cornering but the car is a lot heavier.. I'm currently using 16 light weight, '11 facelift version, regretted because rim not big enough XD will upgrade to 17 in future..
You can choose not to lowered your car, but your car will be a lot higher after changing to either 16 or 17, most people get adjustable, when driving for vacations you can higher up your rear suspension so your car will be balanced after adding weight..

17= Sporty look, power lost, not so comfortable, Tyre expensive so can't get better Tyre...

yes 15 is just nice for everything! 195/55/R15 Goodyear NCT 5 or continental CC5 (I heard from colleague saying that continental wasn't that good, he swap to NCT 5 after that) or Michelin PS3 for best performance but a lil pricy

just went to test drive with TRD version today..at first, the gearbox is smoother than previous gen which mean more easy to shift gear which is a good point. But, what i don't like is the engine was very noisy when shift to i think between gear 2 or 3 like that, after that shift to gear 4, the engine become quiet. Overall, quite satisfy with the test drive. But,i also dunno what is the reason but i feels that the car ain't that much price after test drive especially given their spec. What i think is maybe Toyota is selling their "brand" rather than selling their "car", so they rather not improving anything even in a competitive environment nowadays.

One more thing that i mentioned the quartz brown color, it's available display in the showroom with J spec current stock(no bodykit) when i visit for a test drive, erm,IMO it only looks like nice when it's bodykited and change the rim more bigger and more stylish. Otherwise, i feels like it missing "something" when apply that color on vios without body kit. But still, i already booked for that colors and will install body kit aftermarket.

Visited 3 tire shop... 2/3 sell Taiwan rim

1 shop sell original Lenso rim... Been quoted for RM1.8k for 17"...

If those taiwan rim RM1k-1.2K for 17"

By comparing the rim size between 15 & 17... Is damn big different...

Now my heart itchy... Haiz...

racing art sdn bhd/federal eh?? Take 16 lah my friend if you have never mod any performance on your car, you xan immediately feel the weight when you upgrade to 16, honestly thank god to K&N air filter and custom exhaust by super circuit, I still have that power, much better than stock Vios
if you report but he didn't, he will get saman.. I don't know any mud guard around sorry.. Claim insurance lah

your spec? Mine is J spec, comes with steel rims, when I first change to 16", the respond time and pick up is very bad, when you want to overtake a car which is about the same speed as you, you will feel it is harder for the rpm to reach up compared to stock ones

Im agree.  Rear of new vios quite ugly... 2nd gen  vios more aerodynamic...  new vios reintroduce radio antenna..  =.= more aerodynamic drag
