QUOTE(timundoodoo @ Jul 15 2013, 07:25 PM) Not sure about that. But i think only original TRD Sportivo design got ABS material, other design like GT Street bodykit mostly likely will be PU material.Jz my 2 cents. Hi kenji1903,
Need some of ur opinion... Yesterday on my way back home, doing some cornering at slightly high speed and found out that my vios is not very stable during cornering. Need to ur expertise on the setup of Anti Roll Bar or any bar that provide better handling or cornering. Any pros and cons if i choose to install ARB ? Which bar should install first since i am newbie about the bars stuff ? What is the different between 16mm or 19mm or etc ? Thanks in advance. FYI, im driving J spec, only added TRD Sportivo bodykit, ori steel rim (14", planning to change to 15" soon). No extra modification on handling. |

QUOTE(kenji1903 @ Jul 17 2013, 01:51 PM) i think the first bar should be the rear ARB... others can follow later if needed Tat is just too as for 16mm or 19mm... very subjective... i read a lot of people say 16mm is just nice, some say 19mm will induce oversteer (drift? maybe i over expected the results if possible, see if you can test drive... even with bars, it will "fix" the cornering experience, not necessarily improve it by a large margin... Vios suspension is tuned for comfort... therefore if corner at higher speed, sure the rear will "buang" a bit due to the soft spring... here... some http://www.vioszeroseven.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=6480 can summon also vios2002 I have read all ur feedback in earlier stage. The main cons i found is that the car will be heavier and bumpy compare to stock. That mean you either need to choose comfort ride or better handling ride, right ? 1 more cons is that this poison will continue grow after u have stepped into it. Rear ARB is juz a beginning. After that front upper/lower struct, then rear upper struct then etc. Reli need a deeper pocket for tis poisoning stuff. |

QUOTE(kenji1903 @ Jul 17 2013, 04:11 PM) good bro I thought u are looking for suspension quite some time ago ? bumpy a bit... but feels solid got most of it except for the fender, middle and room bars... now thinking maybe need to change the suspension but too much lar, i'll just stop here... the car frame is too light... the more handling mods you put in, the worse the comfort... like riding horse later now still acceptable, body a bit more solid, soft suspension I noticed that u not just installed 1 bar in ur beloved vios. Wondering what is the total damage of ur wallet ? Actually im trying to minimize the installed bar in my vios to avoid adding more weight to it (To avoid buring a deep hole in my pocket as well Cause i found that after bodykit installation, my vios is a little bit heavier compare with stock J. What is the minimum bar setup that need to be installed for better handling without losing too much of comfort ? Rear ARB only ? Or Rear ARB + Front Upper Struct Bar ? |

QUOTE(kenji1903 @ Jul 17 2013, 06:08 PM) look look see see only Hmm...i think around RM900, installed 1 bar every few months, want to test the feel of each bar the bars are not that heavy... total won't reach 10kg me lar... in my opinion, the rear ARB and the front lower arm bar gave the most difference... the others... not much, a bit only the front lower arm, when you drive on yellow lines, the sound is different, banyak solid, steering also heavier the front upper strut... the tow guy kept complaining about it when he changed my car battery, block hand block leg May I know why u suggest front lower arm bar over front upper struct bar (except the block hand block leg stuff la Cause from what i saw in vioszeroseven forum, some recommend to put front upper struct bar to cater for upper part since already have rear ARB to cater bottom part. Kinda confusing here. |

QUOTE(kenji1903 @ Jul 17 2013, 09:18 PM) i felt more difference with the front lower arm bar rather than the front upper strut Ya... saw quite some posts in vioszeroseven mentioning installed rear ARB + front upper struct bar (instead of lower)...normally people just go for the rear ARB and front upper strut... i went for the rear ARB, front and rear lower arms, then the front upper strut, finally the rear upper strut... i love the ARB the most, then the front lower arm... after that not much difference liao So u suggest to install rear ARB + front lower arm la ? No need to cater upper part ? QUOTE(vios2002 @ Jul 18 2013, 04:57 PM) Bro few question need to know, what is the budget range for this improve handling you plan to have? Actually my budget is quite tight, jz try to improve the handling and minimize the installed bar too.How far you dare to push? if limited budget and comfort for just install rear ARB 19mm other bar waste of money as effect is very little or else upgrade entire suspension. maybe we can arrange fun drive to genting lets our suspension do the talking From what i read so far, I noticed that rear ARB is a must, others bar is optional. If i only installed rear ARB without installing any front upper/lower struct bar, will it causes any unbalancing ? P/S, i have my vios tested when it still new... People sit inside my car goyang to left and right due to the car body lean a lot... |

QUOTE(vios2002 @ Jul 18 2013, 06:34 PM) Ok my advise since limitation on budget so save some money for service car since a new car.... that will be a cost... Million thanks for your kindly offer... if you wan to experience how invert mono tube suspension let me know we can arrange a fun drive U r so kind... Wish to have a fun drive to test your car but i am quite busy with my work recently (tis few month). Work OT and out-station... no life man... Anyway, jz wondering a wider tire will improve the handling (cause more grip)? Cause planning to change to 15" when my stock tire botak (currently 14" only). QUOTE(kenji1903 @ Jul 19 2013, 07:55 AM) if me ar... if i start from 0 again, i might want to try front upper and lower then 19mm ARB Thanks for the suggestion.i think i can skip the rear upper and lower bars... I guess when i have enough budget, i will go for 19mm ARB 1st. Then try front upper instead of lower. |
