3rd gen vios, anyone got find it hard to shift from 'P' to R and R to P?
*
My gear shift is smooth.
But i notice, if u park at slope area it will have difficulties to shift from P to R or D

Let's share your car mileage with any road condition "City / Highway user"

Mine 90% city drive.
Only can clocked 380km with Full Tank.

Normally, pump when the warning light come out with RM70.

So wonder is it normal or am i having a heavy foot?

Hi guys,

3 gen J spec vios rim is with 185/60/15

If change to 205/45/17 with lightweight rim.

Wonder is possible 17" lightweight rim + Tyre lighter then original?

it should fit without any issue..
but I'm sure it will NOT be any lighter than original, but comparing with other replicas it may be lighter..
the fender size should be the same for old and new Vios (I did not research, but I believe its more or less the same)

as for mine, 205/45 won't hit the inner chamber, if I go for 210, it will definitely hit it
205/45/R17 17x8jj

What What is your guys proffered colour? I heard that white white is solid and and easy to become yellow??
*
Dun worry about it...

In future, another 3-5 years when our white turn yellow.

We got plastiDip... By that time, the price will be much cheaper.

instead of just move front and back, it move left and right....

btw i found out that the zinc roof problem... i.e. loud "TAK" TAK" sound is not because of the roof but actually because of the thin rear windshield...
*
Like that die lo... If roof still can do sound proof.
Now is the rear windscreen. wounder if using those thicker tinted will it helps.

Guys,

Need to clarify with u guys some IMPORTANT thing

If you notice, the REAR bumper is attached with REAR Fog Lamp.
Apply to ALL J, E, G & TRD spec.

Yesterday, i try my friend E spec & my J spec by pressing the break, the Light does not turn ON.

Even when i driving i also notices some TRD spec their rear fog lamp got turn on when breaking & some doesn't.

If you put your hand under the bumper, u can feel the cover with socket & wiring are attached.

Anyone got idea about this?

new Vios rear does have this Red Coloured fog lamp. It can be turn on via the stick on your steering; upon main headlights engaged. Not sure if stepping brake pedal would brighten the rear fog lamp or not.
*
U mean the the stick on the right?

As i turned ON the main head light & front fog lamp. The REAR fog lamp also does not ON...

Vios dugong, right?
they are all reflectors my friend.. you sure its with light? Have a close look into the lamp see if you can spot the bulb..
they are sold separately

*
Confirm is come with it. Is status on the Specification on the website for 2013 model

I'm curious also, because i saw some TRD spec when they breaking got light, some TRD spec breaking without the rear fog lamp.

Comparing with TRD - J - G

So i was thinking the twist was build for front.

+42 is offset, referring to the rims nut hole distance to car body.

Tested my Vios 2013 ,2 week back at highway.

With 17' rim, 1 passenger + Driver.

Easily reach 160km, can go 170 but dunno y hard to touch 180km.

On downhill, only can touch abit to 180.

Suspecting "Speed Cut" because Altis 2.0 cuts at 190km although can go faster

P/S: Speeding is not advice & is dangerous, i just try once to test out the speed limit only.

Merry Christmas eve guys...

Just back from my 5k service.

Changed Mineral Oil & Gasket only cost RM 65.72

5k service doesn't need to change oil filter.

In my invoice, it does status that customer use outside rim & checked my absorber is in good conditional
