I got a friend with a Focal K2 on the front stage powered by Genesis. Sound ok as seem matched. His rear fill are the polyglass powered by the another Genesis. But as mentioned, Focal need proper matching and good tuning. KF Audio did quite a good job on his ride and the low was supported by 12 inch Bravox. Never heard a full focal setup before, mostly mixed up setup.... Hahaha.. With Genesis, Xetec or Pegasus??????? Hahaha......
Heard Eton before, different signature. More to my liking as I am kinda a German type, not a frenchie. I used to be US with Phoenix Gold old school, Soundstream old skool but as age catches up went timid instead..... No dough to go High End US Mcintosh. Now got different aim, going Brax German if I Kenna lottery.
As mentioned, do try to get the shop to let you hear the speaker. Let your ears decide instead of your eyes. Review and awards just a guide, but this ultimately makes music and you don't use your eyes to hear....
Still the initial suggestion, do try to come over to KL if possible as those installer would be better when installing the stuff that they sell. If really no choice, maybe they can recommend fellow installer they know in Penang that will do a decent job or contract out the installation to these fellow installer of their choosing. In case anything goes wrong, there is still recourse and ratification. You won't be left with spoilt equipment due to improper work of the installer.
