I started using XDA IIs since Nov 04. Still like it a lot.
However, don't think the device is built to last for more than 2 years (just my opinion).
Might have to buy or upgrade to another device this year.

So far i faced these few problems:
- The incomming calls (the caller's voice) cant listen. But the caller could listen my voice. This is weird. - The QWERTY keyboard starting to lose (the slider). - The clock showing the wrong time (after hard reset). This post has been edited by rad: Feb 3 2006, 04:07 PM |

Then of course is the size......... I will still hang on to it for another year or so. the new O2 mini seems like a good upgrade path. |

But the caller could listen my voice. This is weird. - The QWERTY keyboard starting to lose (the slider). - The clock showing the wrong time. - You can't hear the caller's voice - Sent it back to O2 SC. Probably it need to get the speaker/earpiece change. Try connecting to a BT handsfree.. If you can hear the caller, then the earpiece need to be change.. I had mine change b4 selling it off.. QWERTY keyboard lose.. Probably the mechanism is loose.. you can have it fixed at the O2 SC.. Try setting the clock back and do a soft reset.. If it still shows the wrong time, probably it is time to visit the O2 SC.. Do some minor service, they'll upgrade the ROM and stuff for free if warranty still there.. |

Been using the IIs since November also. So far, one of the best handset I ever used, which replaced my previous workhorse N7650.
Keyboard loose seems to be a problem for quite a few people although I found my keyboard to be relatively tight even till today and I use it a lot with constant open/close. Perhaps putting it into a case like the Krussel case will help reduce the loose feeling.. I faced the problem of not being able to hear the B-party's voice too...most of the time..not a big issue, just a quick soft reset will solve it. I rarely face this problem coz I reset my device almost every night. My clock is still consistently accurate after each soft reset. Although I only performed a hard reset once, it should be normal for it to fall back to a default date. I do believe there should be an option to sync your PC time with the XDA. |

Saw that thread in MyPDACafe before.
I am not doing that, I just need to reset the phone. It is working then, of which I could hear the other parties. |

The new upgrade that I am eyeing on the Dopod 900 replacement or upgrade, perhaps thinner version.
I really hope Motorola could come out with something like Raz but running on WM5.0. |

All right, back to XDA IIs.
With it, think can go out of office and get thinsg done still. Internet, can be done through GPRS or wifi. Pretty good device, probably better than Blackberry. |

Don't think there is way to upgrade it except through the ROM update.

ahhh the XDA IIs' 0.3M pixel camera... I was conned. The fricking salesman told me it was 1.3M pixel.. if not I wouldn't have bought it. RM3K for a 0.3Mpixel is a con job...

Hi,
So far so good after i bought a xda 2s with latest rOM upgrade.the sound problem, just soft reset and it's ok. Seldom use the KB as i prefer to use stylus pen for text input. I'm using krussel case now but it block the few function keys. Any silicon case for xda 2s? Tks. |
