I get it. So, nothing to do with PM fee.
Its more of fund performance related.
Thanks

p/s: yes, I read before your black pot theory. maybe too old forget already

There is also no restriction on when you can switch from MM unlike Bond has 90 days restriction else pay higher switching fee. I think there is also 0.25% SC that make it higher than direct into Equity funds. It you know how to time the switching, it is more than worth the additional 0.25% fee.

The PDSF growing very slow... I invested from 2012 until 2014... got 5% per year only ==... epf is better la

Are you doing lump sum or DCA? If you lump sum in Mar'12, NAV has grown from about 0.2625 back then to now 0.3211 last Friday. That is 22% over 2 years, definitely more than 5% annualized to me. Unless of course you're doing DCA and return would not be that great. My IRR for PDSF is 10.42% as of last Friday from investment since 2005 with mixture of lump sum, DCA and rebalancing over those years.

EDIT: Note that 0.2625 is dividend adjusted price on 3/22/12

I withdraw ed from epf... I invested since apr 2012...

Would you mind telling us what was the price when you purchased back then? Is it 1 time withdrawal or every 3 months without fail? How do you derive your annual return as ~5%. We probably able to tell why you think your return so low with more info. Thanks.

if not mistaken... 0.28 something... let say I invested 10k since 2012... but based on the current nav price... i can get back 11k only... the calculation excluded SC... sad.gif

The average price for PDSF in Apr'12 is 0.2986. I don't see any 0.28xx in April. Let assume it is 0.2986. 10K minus 3% SC, you would get about 32485 units back in Apr'2012. There was 2 dividend distribution since then. 6/1/12 1.5sen and 6/3/13 2sen. Your total unit now should be about 32485 + 1722 + 2234 = 36441. Your current value should be about 36441 x 0.3211 = RM11701, which is about 17% discounting 3% SC. The numbers are estimates since I do not have actual price that you bought. Since you bought it just 2 years ago, 3% SC is heavily affecting your return. Wait for another few years and you'll see better return provided there is no market crash in next few years.

2. the purchase is batch by batch, not lum sum in 2012.... therefore hard to calculate the %

Purchase batch by batch (or DCA) would usually yield lower return than lump sum in a rising market, provided you bought a good fund. PDSF is one of the good fund among many funds in PM EPF stable. Over the last 2 years, PDSF is steadily rising based on its moving average. When you bought batch by batch, your later purchase will likely bought at higher price than back in Apr'12 hence your average cost is higher.

RM25.

If the fund is less than 90 days old, there is a penalty of 0.75% or a minimum of RM50.

Registered for Public Mutual Online, and do the switches online at your convenience... do it before 4.00 pm for same day NAV pricing.

I always got confused with this NAV same day or next day thing. If I buy before 4pm, it will be using yesterday EOD price that is available today (known already) or it will be price that will be calculated at end of day today (unknown yet) and available tomorrow? Please help to clarify. Thanks.

If you buy X fund today at 3:59pm your money will buy the fund at today's NAV which will be only made known tomorrow.

If you hit the buy button at 4:01pm, then your money will buy the fund at tomorrow's NAV which will only be made known the day after tomorrow.

Hope this help.
