QUOTE(owc @ Aug 18 2012, 01:58 PM)
P1 Fiber & Maxis Fiber all = Unifi
They are selling Unifi regard as their own.
Not just the backbone = Unifi, but the line, cable, technical all is Unifi
All is Unifi, just they put different brand.
Please take notes: P1 Fiber & Maxis Fiber just a reseller of Unifi
Just the price cheaper then Unifi, & no IPTV that's all

installation complete, so far speedtest is very unstable and so far can only get max 10mbps. technician took note of this and said will come fix it later. the line is generally quite unusable... so i have not added it to our load balancer. there's alot of packet loss, ping is over 800ms, etc.

from other thread, you have maxis biz too? did they offer the P1 service off the same BTU? or use new separate copper? If use same copper, that could be a problem...

If it's 42.x range, must be public IP. I don't think P1 would give private IP for a biz package, biz customers would be pissed. The routing to IX should be better too than home packages..

no they are running the p1 service off a new BTU, running on a separate copper pair. now my server rack got all kinds of BTU inside already... 2 from HSBB (maxis bizfiber and p1 forbiz fiber), 1 from time adsl, lol.

i got public ip, but it's dynamic ip.

the wifi router looks very solid and its got decent weight... and huge antennas. but i disabled wifi in the modem as all my available WAN connects to a pfsense router, then only goes to wifi access point.

those bozos at p1 still have not replied my emails or queries about the problems im having with my p1 line that i posted earlier in this thread

i tweeted them 2 times, both times also ask account number, i replied with my account number and no reply after that, i also emailed their whatever care line email and cc the original salesperson in p1 that i applied with and no reply either.

i think they just dont give a shit after teh line is installed. i suggest to STAY AWAY FOR NOW.

seems like P1 set their dhcp lease to a longer time.
the question now is how long.

do monitor and let us.
mine stays fixed for 48hours now.
Still monitoring how long can it go.

Congrats on your new installation.
so they install even when address is diff from your ssm,
heard some people apply but got rejected.
let us know your speed when it stabilize in 1-2 days.
TM contractor is notorious in charging unnecessarily,
and people do pay. Horror stories are abound.

They should be grateful they got a job.
*
Its impractical to reject based on SSM because a lot of people put their house address or company sec address in ssm

im shock too when i read the email this morning
30days is really short...

there goes my holiday...
so which one u r going to use after this?

i really hate unifi, as i hv bad term with them
and maxis fiber is suck too... im their home+mobile user
*
no idea la.

i am using the p1 line in my office. we have two lines here, both on HSBB network, one is p1, one is maxis.

don't really feel like using unifi, although i think they are offering rm20 discount over the normal price for people migrating from p1.

i heard celcom will be launching their hsbb service soon, perhaps wait for that.

i think the most mafan thing is if anyone decided to use the phone number that comes with the hsbb, not sure can retain the same phone number or not if they switch to unifi.
