FAQ no.7

7. What are the differences between P1’s consumer fiber plan and it’s business fiber plan?
P1’s business plans are designed to suit business needs and are only open to businesses with valid business registration documents.

Added on August 15, 2012, 4:42 pm11. Is there a Fair Usage Policy?
Yes. To ensure the quality of our service, all our plans are subjected to the Fair Usage Policy. P1 reserves the right to enforce the Fair Usage Policy on users who exceed their allocated monthly quota.

Got quota??

I also noticed this, been getting very confused & mixed responses .....

After the recent Maxis's promo (which I didn't apply), suddenly saw the P1 ForBizFiber the RM99/mth UNLIMITED QUOTE offer, confirmed can install at my house (through company registration) drool.gif

So I started to ask them about this is FUP/cap statement, called customer support, they said it's P1 mistake forget to amend, I ask for black & white confirmation but until now still no confirmation ..... sad.gif

The best part it's the P1 reseller, emailed me tons of internal emails & small fine-print to read .... never mind that, even I print-screen & pointed to him, he still said it's unlimited quota but subject to FUP/cap ... rclxub.gif ...

Damn confused over P1's definition of Unlimited Quota but subject to FUP/cap ... sweat.gif doh.gif

Anywhere, until I get written confirmation, I'll continue to hold or even cancel the order (if got FUP/cap) ....

Finally P1 removed the FAQ11 & confirmed no FUP/cap on ForBiz package rclxms.gif
So I confirmed the order, installation took place this morning, but still not completed yet .....

@csn

Still no update from TM+P1 since Saturday .... doh.gif

Unlike new subscriber, mine is a bit "unusual" (according to TM) since I still want to maintain my VIP5 package (for time being). So basically my setup need to be like this:
HG850a --port1--> UniFi-VIP5 (vlan.500 & 600)
HG850a --port2--> P1-ForBiz (vlan.622 & 920)

The TM's contractor unable to configure the above on-site, they said they need to get TM tech team to do it.... sweat.gif

I'm not quite sure whether mine setup is really that "unsual", I believe there could be companies/users out there using multiple ISP on same fiber/BTU, I think it's either the contractor really don't know how to do it, or TM/P1 still haven't finalise backend arrangement ..... rclxub.gif

Anyway, managed to "connect" & did some initial speed test brows.gif :

FINALLY, after 1.5 month, 3 installation (2 failed), total 10xTM installers/staff, numerous calls/complaints/hours, 1xCFM letter, 1xTM letter to P1 .... then only I get my P1 Fiber ForBiz sweat.gif sweat.gif

Somemore there is NO new fiber line installation & NO change of BTU for me as an existing UniFi user, and I have to go through all these nonsense bloodly journey with TM ...... shakehead.gif doh.gif

Obviously, TM is the main culprit in my case, they could have done it remotely without the need to deploy anyone on site for any existing UniFi user.... doh.gif .....

Anyway, just move-on, now I'm running both UniFi+P1 through RB750:
Attached Image

After some struggling work last nigth (I'm not expert in this) sweat.gif , managed to get both WAN running:
Attached Image

But definitely the dual-internet is still not perfect, am still struggling to research/fine-tune .... sweat.gif

Generally at this moment, both the internet lines speed seem to be the same, I do notice the P1 has slighly higher ping than UniFi, but it's very minimal in my case.

Btw, to use own router and make the P1 stock RG act as VoIP only (vlan.920) per above diagram, need to setup as follows:
Attached Image
I've just tested it on my RB750 vlan.920 bridging to P1 RG, the VoIP works! nod.gif

Actually I'm thinking whether can do away the stock RG completely, wanted to test the VoIP on my Yealink SIP-T20
however P1 didn't provide my SIP account details during installation, so I called P1 to request, now waiting for them to provide .....

That's all my experience sharing now, enjoy P1 folks! icon_rolleyes.gif

Does other P1 users also encounter the 1~2 days IP renew symtom?

I'll be more worry if it's not related to the IP leasing period thing ..... unsure.gif

It happened 1 hour after I slept around 2am, during that time I think my network also don't have much remote activities.

Mine is P1 ForBiz package, eventhough it's dynamic IP, it's very strange why P1 want to renew it that frequent.

I'm still monitoring, may test running some remote network activities persistentl to see whether it will force renew.

If really P1 force to renew the IP even I have business transaction with remote, I'll be a angry man, yet again ! mad.gif cool2.gif

I'm done with P1 Fiber and I'm terminating it:
http://klseet.com/index.php/p1-fiber-problems-a-issues

After using it for 1 week and also complaining/yelling/screaming for 1 week, P1 simply never bother to response.... doh.gif doh.gif

In summary, I cannot stand with the daily force IP renewal nuisance mad.gif
P1 did not inform me on such annoying daily interruption when I sign-up P1 Fiber ForBiz shakehead.gif

The other key reason is that P1 refused to provide my SIP account detail, I can't configure on my own VoIP phone mad.gif

Guess I'll have to look for other alternatives .....

I called on Sunday to force P1 to terminate my account, the next day Monday P1 responded .... shakehead.gif
http://www.klseet.com/index.php/p1-fiber-problems-a-issues

Since I've already unplug & terminated my P1 Fiber, I'm not sure what P1 is doing "that will take effect on 16Oct". blink.gif

For those who is using P1 Fiber, please monitor & check any changes to the daily IP renewal nuisance, hopefully P1 either extend or just don't renew until user turn off/on the RG ..... yawn.gif

if exactly 24 hour should be no problem.. Just on-off you modem at 4-5 am once and you set. ....
*
You must be kidding me ... sweat.gif

Daily force IP renewal to me is totally nuisance, not to mention possible schedule/unschedule downtime ...

What really make me angry is that, P1 did not inform me upfront, after complaint, at least in 2 occassions P1 asked me to subscribe fixed IP mad.gif

If the design is to con/cheat customer later on, then I have issue with that ! shakehead.gif

QUOTE(AhBoy~~ @ Oct 12 2012, 10:19 AM)
if it is a business package, this is a huge issue
*
Agreed.

I run a small biz and need to work at home to deal with partners/customers at various timezone including GMT-7
We need to ftp data and also voice (Skype/GoToMeeting/VoIP).

My original plan is to get P1-ForBiz as the primary, UniFi-VIP as backup ....
After 1 big round wasted 2 months, dnded up now I still have to stick with the devil I know ==> UniFi-VIP ...

blink.gif Meh, unless you're hosting websites or some download king else a few seconds disconnection during midnight won't have much interruption ba.. ..

I'm ok if I use it for normal browsing/downloading, but I believe P1 should not do this to biz users.

no matter whether is fibre or wireless 4G wimax product, P1 service is really very very last in your list that u wish to encounter,.. ..

Honestly, this is my first time subscribing P1, both 4G & Fiber.
The 4G is used as temporary measure at another new office where it's still waiting for TM to activate fiber backend.
So far I'm ok with the 4G, nothing to great to shout about.

I have a customer near P1 building at Jln222, each time I passed by I thought wah P1 so big building, so big advertisement, should be ok wor ....

You are quite right, I thought I have vomit-thunder with others, those P1 CS simply amazing, they simply don't know what's going on, simply tai-chit-delay until I surrender .... rclxub.gif

Now I simply don't understand who & what are actually inside the P1 building ... doh.gif
