I just bought the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Dragon Age 2 Edition.
Red backlighting is nice. Loving the sounds.
I notice it is much more precise when you type and your fingers won't slip off the keys when you're typing in a rage/crazy/fast mode.
Still trying to get used to the placement of the keys.

Razer BWU didn't come with a key remover. I wanted to remove my keys to see inside for fun , but I don't know how to..
And I also scared something goes wrong

I have no keycap remover, and I want to remove my Razer BlackWidow Ultimate's key for fun, just to see. I've never seen the inside of the key before so I just want to see how the Cherry MX Blue switches look like and for experience la wink.gif
So how do I remove it? Is it safe to remove the keys with my bare fingers? Or can I make like a homemade keycap remover? Or use something else?
I'm not gonna' remove the large keys with stabilizers. Just the small ones that can be easily removed and put back.

I suggest you better leave it till you got suitable tools for it.

BWU's keycaps are quite fragile, especially the coating and the stem. You will easily damaging them if you do it less care.

If you still want to do it, you can try with R4 keys(Esc and numbers rows), they are taller and easier to grip on and then pull it up parallely.

Think I might not do it since I don't think I gain anything, rather than just taking a risk. tongue.gif
Until I have necessary tools then.

Okay so I have a problem here with my Razer BWU.
The number 6 key (not numpad) is like weird. Whenever I press it, it doesn't go down smoothly and is abit rough-ish. Idk how to explain.
I don't have any mechanical keyboard keycap remover so idk whether I should remove it with my bare hands and then put it back to see if it fixes it or not. What should I do? :l

well, the edges doesnt influence the press down, the switch itself does, maybe a faulty switch

When U took off the keycap. And U press the blue switch again. Does it do down smooth? If not smooth, then is the switch problem.
If smooth, then maybe is the keycap

Nope. Switch is smooth.

Haiz. So when I woke up, I turn on my comp, it started acting weirdly.
Idk what's going on so I restart my comp, then I ask my mom what is going on? She said she spilled water on the keyboard abit. So I went and unplug it , and my computer works finely. I suspect the water spoilt the keyboard and now it's probably haywiring the key.
Is it possible to replace it since it's under warranty if im not mistaken?
I can't bear to see my keyboard just left there like that. sad.gif

Try letting it dry first. Might work after that.

Yup should be able to get it fixed under warranty. Just don't say you spilled water, say it doesn't work anymore.

Problem is I scared they don't believe or something? And idk if they still have another unit of this keyboard.

Okay so my keyboard now works normally back again. Weird, but somehow the number 1,2,3, and F1 button is not clicky as before o.0
