QUOTE(jepertine90 @ Sep 24 2012, 02:00 AM) i wanted brown switch.. I tested filco myself, i really love the feeling.. but the ducky shine 2 customization of led backlit really caught my eye.. 1. Customized LED backlit - NEED vs WANTthen i do more research that the filco have better stabilizer than the ducky shine 2 which I totally have no idea what are they talking about thing is my budget is suit both of the kb.. I'm more to a gamer myself and redditors/forumers.. This feature/gimmick... try ask yourself do you actually need it or want it. 2. Wire stabilizer vs Cherry Stabilizer - personal preference Both works flawlessly and they have pros and cons. There's no way to say which stabilizer is BETTER, only which one you PREFER. 3. gamer or typist, the switch choice for performance and comfort depends on your personal preference. I've seen a guy who won SC2 tournament with MX Blue board. Since you wanted brown, then that's your switch for your particular purpose. |

QUOTE(CyntrixTech @ Sep 26 2012, 12:46 AM) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cherry-MX-Brown-sw...=item2c685ee563 Since it is PCB mounted switch, without soldering skill also can salvage the core component of the switch - spring and stem.Ebay seller wants USD15 for 10 pcs of brown. Salvaging the keys from keyboard is only RM 1.9 a pc. Pain in the @ but you'd save about 2.5X money and allows you to hone your desoldering skills |

QUOTE(Cyclonechuah @ Sep 26 2012, 11:25 AM) you're not missing out anything yet. so don't worry. bro, I'm interested with the switches. Do let me know when you're ready to sell them.As for the Switches, i estimated total 1k switches available, 4 types available, but i have pick out the bad ones, so the numbers can't be confirm yet. If i'm free enough, i might just take all the spare steel plate, brush off the black paint, and spray the Red Paint on it.(still considering) As for the Doubleshot Keycaps, it's the Running man ESC, Black On Yellow, and White on Red. and well as others. That's my plan for now. which will happen on Mid of October, which i will just stop working for 1 week, and start the desolder keyboard frenzy |

QUOTE(@skyhawk@ @ Sep 30 2012, 08:52 PM) owh.. where i can get ducky shine? i check in heavyarm website stated dat only november will be available.. Ducky Shine 1 is starting to phase out as Shine 2 is coming soon.really tempted with rosewill ivory white but no backlight or illuminated keys.. zzz.. Wait for it to come or you can go garage sales look for Shine 1. Otherwise, I think Rosewill Ivory has excellent look for that price. I remember last time I saw a photo, someone's displaying his mech kb collection in a glass display shelf. 20+ units I think..
