i have an new astro decoder (non HD package) which i usually watch astro in my house. last week i took it back to my parent house and connect to their astro satellite (which terminate long time ago). It show no signal "services is currently available". It is normal? 1 decoder can not watch with other satellite? or i need to do some satellite setting in order to watch it on different satellite?

i think is still working.
looking in the satellite setting:
signal strength (on the left) is 165 but signal quality (on the right) is 0.
but the wording between the 2 bar is "UNLOCK".

at 2010. i mean terminte long time is actually 1 year +++
now i my decoder is stuck at "STB starting up, please wait a moment" screen... can not do anything, just hang there...
i think i must send to service centre to see what happen.

I got problem on my new decoder. I can watch astro in my new house.
But when i bought my decoder back to me old house, it only show "service currently not available". I try the satellite setting it only get signal from measat 3a(vh) 13-18, but no signal for measat 3(vl) 1-12. My old decoder work well in my old house. Is it decoder must match with the satellite?

FYI, both decoder and satellite is new (byond) less than 2 yrs old.

really? too bad.
call astro, they not recommend to switch decoder to other satellite which will then void warranty.
no choice. anyone know how to realignment or know someone know?
