Guys.....take a look...look like astro is reconfiguring their channels?

means, to use PVR, need to connect Astro decoder to internet line

Just want to know, if the superpack 3 say got PVR, is it include the PVR recorder or just the service?

But I subscribe almost for half year also no PVR recorder....
Last time I upgrade, the installer say no PVR recorder include, on that time I though is just free for the service.
Or is it the Astro B.yond that black box is PVR already? Then direct plug the External HDD then can run ?

Second one is of course Assteruk loves to force providers into exclusive rights in their contract. Now, you know in certain countries like US, EU HK, NZ and Australia, Assteruk's contracts will all be deemed illegal by the gomen- wordings that indicate the contract to be an "exclusive right" will immediately result in antitrust lawsuit once word leaks out. Sadly, in Bolehland, anything goes. Assteruk can claim that the channel is exclusively available on assteruk (ie openly admit to exclusive contracts) and the government won't do anything about it, but is in fact encouraging it 

Idk, how come in the US you can get Disney, Cartoon Network, etc on multiple different providers, but in bolehland, it's Assteruk or nothing. Heck, you can get many channels on multiple different providers in The Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia!

Hi guys... I'm not sure if it's allowed to ask this question here. I stay at rural, and finding Astro signal here are pain in the ass. The only place that have signal is at my friend's satellite dish location. I'm on Byond HD and my friend on Byond SD. My question:

-Can we share his satellite dish with coax splitter?
-If we share, will the signal be effected? I read at Youtube there will be signal lost, some say need to buy higher frequency to avoid signal or quality issue. And I even read the signal can't transmit SD and HD at the same time.
-Let's say it's okay to share, where can I found this at Lowyat.Net? I'm at Miri, prefer buy online. Finding rare item at electronic shop will be wasting time and make me mad.
-Is there any degree or location for installing the satellite dish? I heard some say yes but most people will randomly set the dish. I installed one at my hometown blindly but at my current place now, no luck so far.

Another reason to want change. This practice should be made illegal because it forces rakyat to suck up to Assteruk's ever increasing subscription cost and bullying if they need a particular show that only these channels are exclusively having. Singapore can now have Disney on both Starhub and Mio. Why can't we!

To all the experts in this thread, quick question, Just got a free upgrade to PVR last month. After playing around with the recording and stuff am curious about the usb port at the decoder. Can i plug in my personal HDD with video files to it and play it utilizing the decoder as a media player? (Just to be clear, am not thinking of extracting encryted astro programs. Its for mkv/avi files i DL for my mom so she can watch on tv.)

When I call astro yesterday, the CS said there are no charges or additional condition to swap the old dmt to byond. So the old dmt can be kept without paying rm80 to the installer. There is also no contract and it is not compulsory to subscribe HD service. So any non byond users can swap for free with no condition.
